Kyiv was hit by a rare daytime missile strike.
Reports later confirmed that some of the missiles struck an arms expo hosted at a training ground – at least 10 people are confirmed dead and around 100 are reported injured, with critics pointing fingers at the organizers, saying it happened despite five years of lessons from the war. Authorities said a probe into possible negligence is already underway.
Meanwhile, more Wildberries warehouses were struck overnight – this time near St. Petersburg, with Russians tearful over the loss of their businesses after the company said it wouldn’t provide any compensation. That also coincides with Trump’s – wait for it – 12.5% tariffs on Russian imports, though there’s probably nothing left to send if everything goes up in flames.
Diplomatically, things appear to be moving in Kyiv’s favor with Uncle Sam – Zelensky is reportedly meeting Trump during Lindsey Graham’s funeral, with more signals of a new approach following Rubio’s meeting with Lavrov.
