Word on the street is that Zelensky is not reinstating Fedorov.
After a vague response on that possibility over the weekend, Zelensky is now reportedly betting the protests will lose momentum, according to sources close to him. With that, we shall see how the planned protests turn out on Friday.
The big news today is probably Zelensky’s meeting with Trump – unofficially kicked off with a Ukrainian strike on Moscow. His press office said it’s not on camera, so we shall wait for subsequent comments after the meeting – and maybe after Lindsey Graham’s funeral later.
As for Russia’s fuel crisis, we are starting to see conflicting reports. Russia’s deputy PM claimed things are slowly returning to normal as the Omsk region began easing the gasoline sales ban, but earlier reports suggest that they won’t come back online for at least a few months. Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan is also eyeing new deals with Russia amid its own fuel shortage.
As for today’s bad news, it appears that Russia also hit back at Ukraine by torching every gas station along the Poltava-Kharkiv highway. At least we are not seeing signs of imminent direct attacks from Iran yet.
