The crisis of capital is not an accident, a passing phase, or a cyclical hiccup that will be resolved with well-intentioned adjustments. It is its essence, its permanent mode of being. Capitalism thrives on the uninterrupted exploitation of bodies, territories, and affections; its "stability" is merely the tense silence between one social catastrophe and another. Every day of normal functioning of this system is a day of crisis for the exploited majority-a crisis of housing, food, mental health, and meaning. Recognizing this chronic character of devastation is the first step towards abandoning the illusion of patchwork solutions and acknowledging that the only adequate response is a radically new organization that refuses to be domesticated.
The formulas offered to us for over a century have already proven their failure. The vanguard party, which promised to seize the State and emancipate the working class, has become synonymous with authoritarian bureaucracy, the execution of dissidents, and state capitalism. Institutionalized unionism, with its negotiating leadership and pension funds, has learned to manage misery while stifling the spontaneous revolt of the factory floor. Social democracy, with its paradise of temporary rights financed by the exploitation of the Global South, has proven to be a fragile truce, dismantled unceremoniously as soon as accumulation demanded it. All these recipes stem from the same poison: the concentration of power, the delegation of the struggle to specialists, the belief that a few can decide for everyone. We have already tested hierarchy under all its guises-and it has invariably returned to us new chains.
The organization of the exploited, to confront a war that never ceases, needs to be as vibrant and widespread as the attack itself. It needs to be horizontal, where each voice has real weight and decisions spring from grassroots assemblies, not from illuminated offices. It needs to be based on solidarity, because the competition that capital injects into us is the greatest ally of domination; we need mutual support that makes survival a collective act of affection and resistance. Self-managed, so that the struggle may be, from now on, the seed of the world we want: without bosses, without managers of the revolution, without those who command and those who obey. This is not a naive utopia, but the concrete practice of those who, in land and housing occupations, in community kitchens, in autonomous pickets and in care networks, already demonstrate that another social architecture is possible, here and now, under the ruins of the present.
The other promises are buried. State socialism collapsed in the 20th century, leaving a legacy of gulags and disillusionment. Electoral reformism has become the manager of the crisis, applauding deforestation while distributing crumbs. Anarchism remains for us, not as a dogma of the past, but as the only compass that insists on not exchanging freedom for the efficiency of the slaughterhouse. We are left with the web of complicity that cannot be captured by a corporate entity, ministry, or central committee. We are left with the courage to acknowledge that we, the precarious workers, the landless, the marginalized, the unwanted, are the ones who can-and must-direct our own steps, without asking permission from any authority above us. Everything that is not horizontal ends vertically upon our bodies.
Therefore, the invitation is not to join a party or applaud a leader-it is to take risks. To experiment with self-management in your occupation, in your neighborhood, in your workplace. To transform anger into direct action, without waiting for a committee's approval. To weave free and federated alliances that do not seek to seize power, but to dissolve it into thousands of communal bonds. Capital does not wait, the crisis does not give respite, and neither can we. Come with us to build a new world in the belly of the monster: a world where all worlds fit, without hierarchies, without fences, without fear. Take risks, experiment, and come with us!
