Big News + Bigger Week: Our Last Blast Before the Break

Bonjour à Touts !   Une dernière semaine de folie avec une surprise du chef avant un break de 2 semaines pour préparer la rentrée et trier nos câbles !   Nous sommes aussi heureux d'annoncer que nous sommes assurés de rester dans nos murs pour une saison de plus, même si ça reste un challenge de tenir la barre dans une économie et un contexte socio-politique où la culture n'est pas une priorité. Le jeune Elliott Knuets, adoubé dès l'âge de 16 ans par Wynton Marsalis et en route vers les sommets, sera toute la semaine sur scène en compagnie de la crème du prestigieux Jazz Campus de Bâle. Sans doute un des guitaristes les plus prometteurs d'Europe et sûrement de Belgique, captez-le tant qu'il est temps.   Vendredi et samedi, ce sera le patron qui ouvrira la late jam et dimanche après-midi, le saxophoniste espagnol Furmi Gomez sera aux commandes de notre dernière session d'été.   Et avant de vous dire au revoir pour 17 jours, on finit en apothéose avec le retour du pianiste prodige, nouvelle égérie de Blue Note Records, qui nous avait impressionnés en novembre dernier : Paul Cornish. De jonge Elliott Knuets, van ze zestienste al gebombardeerd deur Wynton Marsalis en op weg no de top, stoat hiel de week op de planken mè de crème van de prestigieuze Jazz Campus Basel. Zonder twèfel ien van de mèès belovende gitaristen van Europa en zeker van België — pakt 'm mee zolang of da 't nog kan.   Vrijdag en zoaterdag èt de chef zelve de late jam open en zondignamiddag èt de Spoanse saxofonist Furmi Gomez de leiding over ons lèste zomersessie.   En vè da we 17 doage dag zeggen, sluiten we't af in schoonheid mè de terugkeer van 't wonderkind op piano, de nieuwe stèr van Blue Note Records, die ons verleje november serieus hè geïmponeerd: Paul Cornish. The young Elliott Knuets, endorsed from the age of 16 by Wynton Marsalis and on his way to the top, will be on stage all week alongside the cream of the prestigious Jazz Campus Basel. Undoubtedly one of the most promising guitarists in Europe, and certainly in Belgium — catch him while you can.   On Friday and Saturday, the boss himself will open the late jam, and on Sunday afternoon, Spanish saxophonist Furmi Gomez will be at the helm of our final summer session.   And before we say goodbye for 17 days, we're finishing on a high with the return of the prodigy pianist, the new darling of Blue Note Records, who blew us away last November: Paul Cornish. Making the most of a day off on tour and a couple of messages later, at the last minute he's coming back to us for an intimate concert for just 75 people — absolutely not to be missed!!!   Book your seats quickly and support a music scene that needs you as much as you need it!
