On July 19th, "Once Upon a Time 1936/47," let's build and participate in the Chaucre barricade from 3 PM to 7 PM on the corner walkway. A barricade of wood and cardboard will pay symbolic tribute to those who dared to say no to Francoism, to the sound of jackboots, while building an egalitarian and self-governing society. Simply write our dreams, our demands, our hopes on the cardboard you bring...
Libertarian Publishing will celebrate those who fight for or publish the diverse histories of revolutionaries with a shared picnic. On July 20th at 8:30 PM, the Eldorado cinema - 5 rue de la République, 17310 Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron - is hosting a film screening and discussion of the documentary DIEGO by Frédéric Goldbronn. Myrtille Gonzalbo from the historians' group Les Giménologues will lead the discussion.
What remains of the memory of this libertarian adventure of millions of workers and peasants? What have they passed on to their children and grandchildren? What can we learn from these accounts in light of the authoritarian societies in which we live?
These events are organized by Editions Libertaires and the Eldorado cinema. Don't just sunbathe on the beach, but on the barricades! Don't just comment on the final of the billionaires' cup game, but come with us after the film to share books and a convivial moment.
Even on vacation, let's "heal" the world!
