Former Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhny says Russia has found ways to counter nearly every major Western weapon used in Ukraine, warning that NATO must rethink its approach to modern warfare.

At the same time, Ukraine’s intelligence partnership with the US has reportedly recovered after last year’s freeze, helping Kyiv carry out more effective long-range strikes against Russian targets.

Ukraine is also moving ahead with its European-backed Freyja missile defense project, aiming to create a lower-cost alternative to Patriot systems and intercept Russian ballistic missiles by 2027.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is pushing back against reports of US weapons shortages, insisting Washington has large ammunition reserves despite concerns over depleted stocks of some key systems.
