Russia has ramped up attacks on Kyiv and other cities – potentially in preparation for other major operations.
Explosions have rung across the capital continuously as 17 air raid alerts lasted for 33 hours, with Russia targeting major businesses and their warehouses. Among the targets were those belonging to private postal operator Nova Poshta in the Kyiv region, some belonging to bookstores, with thousands of Ukrainian books burnt to ashes, and the last Epicentr hypermarket remaining in Zaporizhzhia.
But Ukraine also fought back in earnest, torching a major Russian refinery for the eighth time this year and hitting a suspected Russian HQ with Storm Shadow missiles – which might explain Moscow’s lashing out at the UK, again, for recently providing Kyiv with the Storm Shadow blueprints.
The CIA also reportedly briefed the FSB on how bad Putin’s war is going during Ratcliffe’s visit, which might or might not be tied to Lukashenko visiting Russia. As threats of mobilization loom over Russia, many Russians also began fleeing to homes abroad, in more signs that the war might not be over soon.
