| Ukraine - a new country for AFA |

| | A new partnership began.
Animals First Aid sent vital support to WOW Ukraine Animal Shelter after its team documented the animals depending on them: Bert, abandoned with damaged eyes and an infected paw; Luke, a blind cat; 16 growing puppies; amputees; and hundreds of dogs and cats receiving food in Kherson. The grant strengthened emergency shelter, food and veterinary care in a place where war has already taken so much. |

| | | | At SARA's vast refuge, donor kindness helped keep daily care going. More than 900 dogs, around 200 cats, rescued horses and other vulnerable animals depend on daily food, clean water and medical care. Naji was recovering after surgery to save a leg shattered in a road accident, while two severely malnourished horses were finally gaining strength. At You Can Save Me Shelter, donor generosity kept lifesaving care moving. Partner updates documented eleven emergencies, including a cat who survived a collapsed lung after a brutal attack, a kitten learning to move after amputation, and a dog whose deep wound required patient daily treatment.
Association Zina received a vital lifeline. Its rescuers had again reported animals needing shelter, treatment and protection when resources were stretched beyond breaking point. The payment is verified; detailed expenditure feedback is still being gathered before any more specific outcome is claimed. |

| | | | In Olfa's hands, donor kindness became immediate relief. Her full report and receipts document support used for veterinary debts, food and boarding for rescued animals. She documented payments to clinics, food for seven dogs in boarding, and continuing care for animals who had nowhere else to go. |

| | | | For Susmita's rescue, donor generosity ensured help could continue. Her supporting update showed food reaching street dogs and cows, then a new emergency arriving through the door: Lucy, a dog with a broken hip who needed urgent care. The gift helped keep both everyday feeding and emergency rescue within reach. |

| | | | Across July and August, donor gifts kept Vera Vita's work moving. Vera's updates showed food bought on credit, Costa recovering after tumour surgery, and further veterinary bills still due. The support protected a lifeline for dogs who would otherwise face hunger while recovering from illness and injury.
Across July and August, AFA donors stood beside Jelena. Her sanctuary was caring for puppies needing repeated vaccinations and sterilisation, a dog awaiting specialist investigation for a persistent cough, and many animals requiring food and daily hands-on care. The grants helped keep that work from falling entirely onto one exhausted rescuer. |

| | | When Animal Defenders League documented an escalating donkey emergency, Animals First Aid responded. Donkeys were already dying as drought stripped away food and water. Supporting photographs and correspondence were reviewed before the grant was released. Animals First Aid also backed Organization for Creative Impact. Its evidence described around 50 donkeys already in poor condition and 1,145 at risk, with an urgent plan to deliver 20,000 litres of water across five villages. The payment is verified; the next field report will confirm the completed distribution.
These were not abstract transfers. They were food in bowls, clinic balances paid, medicine continued, shelter sustained and rescuers given room to breathe. Thank you for standing with Animals First Aid and our rescue partners - and for opening a new rescue lifeline in Ukraine. |
