Comrades, enough of believing in the fairy tale of bourgeois democracy! The ballot box is not an instrument of liberation, but a coffin where we bury our autonomy while the henchmen of capital sharpen their claws. Voting is the opium of the modern people, the escape valve that the ruling class invented to make us complicit in our own subjugation. While we place our hope in a crumpled piece of paper, the police continue to massacre the periphery, the boss continues to squeeze the sweat of the worker, and the state machine continues to spin to accumulate wealth in the hands of a few. Don't be fooled: the impenetrable voting booth is the tomb of revolt.
Look at Espírito Santo, this fertile land watered with indigenous blood and slave sweat. Choosing between Colonel Ferraço and the opportunist Pazolini is the same as choosing between a rifle butt and a baton. Both are puppets of the same rotten system; Both swear allegiance to the same Constitution, designed to protect large landholdings and financial capital. With Ferraço or Pazolini, the worker in Cariacica will continue waking up at 4 a.m. to earn a salary that barely covers bread. The Black youth of Vila Velha will continue to be targets of stray bullets. Indigenous lands will continue to be invaded by murderous agribusiness. There is no institutional solution to structural violence, because violence is the very foundation of the institution. The changing of masks in the carnival of oppression fools no one with blood in their eyes.
We, anti-capitalists and anti-statists, reject this rigged game. Our freedom is not won in a Sunday queue, but built day by day, with calloused hands and solidarity burning in our hearts. Our praxis is mutual support - the plate of food shared in the occupation, the medicine obtained without bureaucracy, the collective defense against eviction. Our compass is self-management - the factory taken over that produces for the community's needs, the urban garden planted where there was once rubble, the horizontal school where knowledge is exchanged and not imposed. Our horizon is federalism - the decentralized articulation between neighborhoods and cities, without bosses, without presidents, without governors, where the decision emerges from the base to the base. While politicians negotiate in air-conditioned offices, we weave networks of resistance that ignore the borders of the state of Espírito Santo.
And that is where the crucial difference lies. While the media and parties hypnotize the masses with the electoral ritual, the Espírito Santo Anarchist Federation (FACA) is in the real trenches, building tomorrow today. We don't see ourselves in legislative chambers, but in collective kitchens feeding the hungry; we don't see ourselves on platforms, but in neighborhood assemblies organizing the fight against fare increases; we don't see ourselves in decrees, but in urban occupations that restore the social function of the land. The FACA (Knife) sows daily insubordination, combats racism and patriarchy in every act, and organizes the general strike without asking permission from the State. The construction of freedom is a hammer striking the chain every day, not an empty promise for four years from now.
Therefore, let us reject this pathetic ritual that repeats itself every four years like a replay of hell! Let us reject the farce that reduces us to mere numbers in a system of domination. The way out for the working and oppressed class is not in the impenetrable booth, but in the street, in the factory, in the favela, and on the land. The way out is anarchism - the only doctrine that restores our sovereignty over our own existence. Tear up your voter registration card, spit on the bourgeois citizenship manual, and join us! The Anarchist Federation of Espírito Santo is standing, building tomorrow today. Don't vote. Organize. Social revolution is urgent, and it doesn't wait for the blessing of any politician.
