This Mother's Day, May 10, at 2pm and 6pm we remember Gallipoli 100 years on in a rare Sydney performance of Frederick Septimus Kelly's String Trio (completed in Double Bay in 1914), alongside a new commission by Sydney Chamber Opera director Jack Symonds, which reflects on ANZAC through the unique prism of Frank Gehry's architecture. To close we will raise the Opera House sails with the passionate exuberance of Schumann's beloved Piano Quartet.

We have an exciting program planned for this year – a special mix of chamber music masterpieces from the likes of Beethoven, Mozart and Mendelssohn performed alongside newly-commissioned works from contemporary Australian composers. Honouring the centenary of Gallipoli will be a highlight of the series, with the music of WWI woven throughout this year’s season.
