Tuesday 14 avril, 19h30 : Separatists or Russian loyalists?"
In this info meeting, being one of those who has been involved in what happens in Ukraine, I want to bring you a point of view, on how people on maydan obtained a small victory with the “Revolution of honest”, like having Yanukovich ran away and all the government with him.
People was distracted from continuing the revolution with what happened in Crimea and on the East. After that, a war came into the Donetsk and Lugansk areas. The war in the East included Russian soldiers, pro-russian native citizens, Russian volunteers (with different political views) but they are all united with under the banner “for a Russian world”.
People who fight for imperial ambitions of the Russian state don’t have the slightest right to call themselves anti-fascists or a separatists. Because you can only separate from an empire, if you wish to join an empire this makes you a loyalist.
In photos from “Novorosiya” we can see a lot of imperial flags and patches, and a lot of communist symbols. One is the opposite of the other, but in this situation they combine this all because that’s a good propaganda for different people who have different political views (but are they so different?). Usually people of old age wanna go back into Ussr, nationalist and the lovers of “a Russian world” are dreaming about reviving the great Russian empire and they call themselves “collectors of Russian lands”.
A big propaganda machine is working from Russia, that made a lot of myths on maydan and “banderovci”(that’s how they call ukranians). This propaganda machine is there to scare people who don’t want to change anything in their lives. With help of this propaganda and Russian activists, Ukraine is at war. On the antimaydans and in war a lot of people with leading roles was
from Russia. So-called “antifascists” and fighters against the “junta” included: mercenaries of local oligarchs, Russian nationalists,
communists, nazis, Russian Cossacks and “kadirovci”( mercenaries from Chechnya ).
For the entire post-soviet history of independent Ukraine there was no war till now. There is a general illusion that in the East we have a civil war and ukranians are fighting with ukrainans, this is not true. This war bring on our lands Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs, who use common people like a coin for bargaining and negotiating.
