(Couleur Café in 2013) TICKET : 13-15€ FRIDAY 5     EXCEPTIONAL CONCERT Pete Churchill meets Phil Abraham Pete Churchill (vocals, piano), Phil Abraham (trombone, vocals), Boris Schmid (bass), Matthias De Waele (drums) Exceptional  1st meeting of Pete Churchill, new vocal teacher at the Brussels Conservatory, and his colleague Phil Abraham. Churchill has been featured at many festivals internationally working as a singer, pianist and conductor (member of both Kenny Wheeler’s and Abdullah Ibrahim’s vocal projects, collaborated with Mark Murphy, Norma Winstone, John Taylor, Tina May… He has also released several critically acclaimed jazz albums under his own name. Phil Abraham has been one of the pillars of jazz in Belgium for years., .the essence of jazz music, humor included with the young generation of rhythm section… TICKET : 18-20€ SATURDAY 6        FROM SWING TO BEBOP Simon Rigter & the Johan Clement Trio Simon Rigter (tenor sax), Johan Clement (piano), Bart de Nolf (bass), Luc Vanden Bosch (drums) ..one of the nicest sax sound in Europe enjoying the superb support of Johan Clement’s Trio… in grooving tempi or sweet ballads, Rigter deserved a standing ovation at his last visit to the Village… top international no nonsense jazz...
