On Saturday 19 January 2019, Alexander Romanovsky comes to Brussels with a program that is entirely dedicated to F. Chopin, and that only the greatest virtuosos dare to play: the Complete Etudes.
Every pianist knows how terribly difficult these studies are, and it is a real tour-de-force to bring those two books in concert.
F. Chopin was probably one of the first composers to transform purely technical excercices into full and rich concertpieces. His Etudes are filled with fury, melancholy, passion, and poetry.
And let these elements be the talents of pianist Alexander Romanovsky.

Il n’avait que 17 ans lorsqu’il a remporté le premier prix de la Busoni International Piano Competition, performance bientôt suivie de nombreux autres succès internationaux.
Il a assuré des concerts sur les scènes mondiales les plus renommées et a travaillé avec des chefs d’orchestre tels que Valery Gergiev, Antonio Pappano, Mikhail Pletnev, Vladimir Spivakov, James Conlon,...
Le samedi 19 janvier 2019, il enchantera Bruxelles avec un programme entièrement consacré à Frédéric Chopin et qui n’est accessible qu’aux virtuoses les plus inspirés : les Études Intégrales.
Tout pianiste sait à quel point ces études sont difficiles, et les exécuter dans son ensemble constitue une performance digne d’admiration.
Chopin a vraisemblablement été l’un des premiers compositeurs capables de métamorphoser des exercices techniques en réelles pièces de concerts et ce sont donc 24 bijoux musicaux qui nous seront offerts.
Ces études sont alternativement pleines de furie, de mélancolie, de passion et de poésie. Il ne nous reste donc plus qu’à nous laisser séduire par le grand talent du pianiste Alexander Romanovsky.

Op slechts 17-jarige leeftijd kaapte hij de eerste prijs weg op de F. Busoni International Piano Competition, en sindsdien volgde een aaneenschakeling van internationale successen.

Op zaterdag 19 januari 2019 komt hij naar Brussel met een programma dat geheel is gewijd aan F. Chopin, en dat alleen voor de allergrootste virtuozen is weggelegd: de Integrale Etudes.
