#WORLD #WORLDWIDE # Czech #ANARCHISM #News #Journal #Update - (en) Czech, AFED: Rote Zora No. 3: Review of another issue of #feminist zine [machine translation]

The feminist zin Rote Zora boasts its third issue. He left his somewhat more punk

form, but it doesn't hurt at all. There is no need to force yourself into any
stylization that belongs to zines by default. Zora breaks the alleged standards
and questions them... and thanks her a hundred times for that. ---- Zin also
continues to break down stereotypes about gender and sexuality in a completely
punk and rebellious way. And I will probably repeat myself when I say that it is
very refreshing in the flood of zines (especially music-oriented ones), which are
produced largely by men and reproduce especially the male world with established
schemes and themes. They revolve around more "global" things in terms of culture
and politics, devoting themselves to the "scene" and experiences (listening to
records, stories from tours, concerts and tours). I don't mind, I like reading
it. But I prefer all the more when a slice appears that is in a way more
intimate, dealing with inner feelings and personal experiences about
relationships at different levels. It's just a pity that these two worlds and
ways of grasping reality are still somehow missing. Maybe it's just the principle
of thesis - antithesis - synthesis.

I am convinced that similar feminist zines are not just a platform for women to
express themselves on topics that interest them and the problems that concern
them. For men (and cis persons in general) they are also an important and
probably still neglected means of knowing the feelings, experiences and attitudes
of women (or necis persons).

And now to the very content of the issue. First of all, I would like to highlight
various guidelines and advice supported by my own experience, which can help many
to solve their own problems. The introductory text, which belongs to this rank,
deals with "psychotherapy" and mental health and advises on how best to obtain
professional psychological or psychiatric help. You can also think about the
pitfalls of helping minorities from those who are not part of them, learn
something about rapegame, as in previous issues there is a window DIY gynecology
and one of the authors will share with her her experience with voluntary
sterilization.

Several texts are devoted to art - reflections on the origins of prehistoric
paintings and statues, ToyBox's experience with illustrations on the subject of
sex for the disabled, the comic Mrš or a comic devoted to polyamory, comics on
modern uncapitalized witchcraft, reviews of four films, three books and one
exhibition. , an essay on the poet Natalia Gorbanevska, who is known as one of
seven people who protested in 1968 on Red Square against the occupation of
Czechoslovakia.

Other texts reflect personal experiences. For example, with a transphobic attack
and the question of whether to call the police: "It is you who will go there, and
it is you who will have to resist skepticism and contempt from these
authorities." Another reflection on the "natural" submissive role of women ,
which has to bite many unpleasant things "out of decency", ends with a challenge
to stand up to such a (often unreflected) norm and, above all, to discuss it. I
didn't get much out of the text about transgressive sexuality, probably because
of the excess of foreign words and the line that I kept losing behind them. On
the example of Poland, you can approach a nightmare that unfolds and dominates
reality when religiously based conservatives come to power. The answer to their
darkness and terror is clear: "There is no longer a place to bow our heads."

Literally in the third Zora , the question is whether readers would like it if
the other issues were somehow thematically focused. Here is the feedback from me:
Yeah, I liked it. Hooray for it!
