This claim was based on an existing treaty, thedeployment of more than 90,000 Russian soldiers, armor and military equipment onthe Russian-Ukrainian border near Crimea. In response to these allegations, theRussian state denied an aggressive move and on the contrary accused the Ukrainianstate of preparing to attack Crimea in order to occupy it. Crimea has beenconsidered Russian territory since 2014 due to its annexation after thehostilities and the referendum held, although the annexation by Ukraine and theWest is not recognized. In 2014, then-Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign an associationagreement between Ukraine and the European Union, and demonstrations erupted, with nationalist groups and nationalist pro-EU pro-EU agreements in the oppositedirection. Prime Minister Yanukovych had established political relations with theRussian state and was therefore trying to withdraw from the EU. Russian-speakingpopulations and separatist separatists (who were the majority in eastern Ukraine)opposed the state's new nationalist policy, which was based on social efforts tostrengthen the country's relations with the EU. The separatists, with the help ofRussia, managed to control some cities such as Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkiv. In2014, hostilities in eastern Ukraine led to a referendum in the Russian-speakingpopulation, in which the integration of Crimea (a peninsula in eastern Ukraine)into the Russian state prevailed - by a wide margin. Thus, a tense situation has already been created between the two states ofUkraine and Russia, which has also been expressed through hostilities. Arriving, then, in November 2021 and the renewed transnational tension on theRussian-Ukrainian border, we must also briefly refer to the overall situation ineastern Europe, which seems to be going through a period of constant turmoil.Russia borders Ukraine to the west, as well as Belarus and Latvia. What we areinterested in in this article is the state of Belarus and the conditions createdon its borders with the neighboring state of Poland and Lithuania. Here, for thesake of geography and geopolitical correlations, mention that Belarus, Ukraineand Poland all border on each other.Belarus is ruled by President Alexander Lukashenko, President of the countrysince 1994. In the most recent presidential election on August 9, 2020, he wonwith more than 80% of the vote, but the election was held through oppositionarrests and criticism of fraud. The anarchist movement was naturally targeted bythe savage repression - both during the demonstrations and in the previous yearsof the totalitarian state - with persecution and imprisonment. In the shadow ofthe elections, demonstrations broke out demanding the resignation of thecountry's president, something that did not happen. A totalitarian state withnationalism at the forefront, therefore, has been defining the fate of Belarusiansociety for two decades. On November 8, Belarus is accused by the Polish state of trying to build tensionson the two countries' borders by sending refugees and migrants to Polishterritory. Here, then, is the second case - after the crisis in Evros between theGreek and Turkish states - where refugees and migrants are being instrumentalizedand given the opportunity to unfold their geostrategic plans and intensify theirtransnational rivalries by both the countries involved and large coalitions andsuperpowers such as the EU, the US and Russia. The persecuted and the poor devilsin their ongoing struggle to escape the war, which proclaims the political andeconomic interests of a greedy system of government in the countries of NorthAfrica and the Middle East, are once again facing the armies of the West thistime in the coveted European Union, in the coveted but false "land of promise".This tension between the two states continues to exist and is subject toreductions or exacerbations with the development and participation of militaryforces on both sides of the border. In this crisis, then, where refugees andmigrants are trapped in a non-place, exposed to extreme weather conditions, tothe tear gas and machine guns of two armies, many have lost their lives withinformation impossible to reach the West accurately. In this crisis, then, where refugees andmigrants are trapped in a non-place, exposed to extreme weather conditions, tothe tear gas and machine guns of two armies, many have lost their lives withinformation impossible to reach the West accurately. In this tragic situation, the transnational rivalries unfold, mainly of the greatpowers. On the one hand, Russia, which supports the totalitarian and nationaliststate of Belarus, has stated that it will help Lukashenko with both diplomaticmoves and military assistance, while on the other hand, the EU continues itseconomic sanctions against Belarus, supporting the Polish policy.Let's make a small note here about Poland as well. The Polish state has been amember of the EU since 2004 and at the helm is the nationalist-conservative Lawand Justice Party (NKD / PiS) since 2015 with autonomy. Since 2015, one of thekey political decisions that has taken on an international dimension is the banon abortions, which has mobilized a large resistance movement of women on thefront lines and with hundreds of thousands of people on the streets.Nevertheless, the state of Poland, through the reform of the ConstitutionalCourt, managed to find the latter illegal abortions in October 2020.Knowing, therefore, the particularly deplorable conditions in eastern Europe andthe political conditions of the countries involved, the phrase " nationalismsgive birth to cemeteries " keeps coming back to our minds .In the last part of the article we will return to the tensions on the borders ofUkraine and Russia. In late November, the Ukrainian president said in a pressconference that he had information about a possible coup on December 1 or 2,leaving suspicions of indirect Russian involvement. The main argument for Russianinvolvement is talks, which seem to have been recorded by the Ukrainian secretservices between representatives of Russia and Ukraine, while Russia denies theallegations. Although the dates of the coup have not been verified, thisstatement by Ukraine further strains relations between the states and stabilizesthe tension in the region. The USA also played an active role in the politicalcontroversy. who in recent days deported Russian officers from the country due tothe military mobility of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine and practicaldiplomatic assistance to Ukraine. He also said that in the event of a Russianmilitary intervention, there would be economic sanctions of this magnitude, whichhave not existed in the past. In retaliation, the Russian state expelled Americanofficials. At this point, the timing and manner in which a military conflict can take placebetween these countries is of little importance. Once again, our political andeconomic bosses are setting up a stage to stage another warlike show that couldeither escalate into a military conflict indirectly by supporting civil strifeinside Ukraine or directly by a military confrontation between the two states orweaken the present period simply with a belligerent rhetoric. In this article wewill not try to predict what was going to happen as there is neither theknowledge of the thoughts that prevail within the military staffs nor the need tobet based on randomness and statistical probabilities. The purpose of the articleis to highlight the source that is always behind the disasters, the unreasonableviolence and misery of humanity, which is none other than the state policies thatpromote the domination of the powerful and the greedy appetites of capital thatcompletes an authoritarian system of exploitation and oppression. The scene oftension in eastern Europe comes in a series of escalating geopoliticalconfrontations where, as we move forward in time, the politics of states seem tolead to a one-way street, followed by other means, as Clausewitz said of what waris. .An exploitative system of power has caused various crises where it wouldnaturally do in the long run. The point is that we have entered a period in whichthe exploitation of the oppressed, the poor, the devil and the natural world hasled mankind to experience successive crises in health, economic, political andsocial levels, such crises which endanger a chain and / or simultaneous ignition, which is capable of triggering an unprecedented social upheaval in the world aswe know it today. The system of power is in crisis and out of control, a randomevent can cause an avalanche and the possibility of "error" in the dominantpolicies is growing, making it (the system of power) dangerous for man, the earthand life itself.* Lyrics from the song War Rehearsal by the band Babylon from the distant 1999.https://landandfreedom.gr/el/apopseis/617-mia-prova-polemou-se-ekseliksi-st-anatolika-tis-evropis_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
