Non aux guerres, non aux impérialismes - Activons la résistance internationaliste---- No to wars, no to imperialism! Let's activate internationalist resistance!----Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, the Sahel, Burma, to take only the mostrecent examples... the list is long of these armed confrontations, led by thestates or instrumentalised by them. ---- NATO is presented to us as a tool forthe defence of Western populations, whereas it represents the armed arm of theAmerican state on a continent that is not its own, Europe, in order to extend itsglobal economic, military and cultural influence.Its purpose is not the defence of individuals and peoples but the maintenance ofa capitalist and state order.Just because the war has been made particularly visible to us in Ukraine does notmean that it has disappeared in the world.Putin and his tyrannical regime invaded Ukraine in February 2022, but theconflict had already existed in the Donbass and Crimea since 2014. Among thecauses, the Soviet imperial (if not tsarist) nostalgia of the Russian leadershipremains strong. It is not so much afraid of the Ukrainians' rapprochement withthe European Union or NATO as of their democratic aspirations for freedom ofexpression and assembly, which are rightly or wrongly incarnate by the West.Wars are also an opportunity for arms dealers in France and elsewhere to makeprofits and for the belligerents to use women's bodies as a battlefield (rape,prostitution, etc.) to annihilate the population's resistance.Wars justify for states the increase of military budgets to the detriment ofsocial budgets. They accelerate the increased militarisation of societies, whichare already subject to increasingly brutal repression. The weapons that areproduced always turn against us.Taking advantage of the chaos and disorganisation of supply chains, states andcompanies are making profits about this situation: they are speculating on themarkets by organising the (sometimes imaginary) scarcity of goods to increaseprices and profits. They take advantage of this to accelerate the energytransition, not in favour of alternative energy from the nuclear power sectorand/or hydrocarbons from so-called "friendly" countries (Saudi Arabia, the UnitedArab Emirates), not to mention the shale gas that the Americans will sell in mass.Moreover, after having carried out intense destruction, the dominant politicaland economic system always ends up organising recovery and reconstruction plansthat benefit the powerful.We anarchists, always hostile to warmongering and militarisation, are concernedabout this escalation of war.We support the populations: - condemned to exile, by defending their unconditional welcome - forced to stay at the risk of their dignity and their lives - confronted with the difficult situation of choosing weapons;We salute the need for individuals and peoples to face up to aggressors (activeresistance, passive resistance through, in particular, conscientious objection,desertion, boycott of recruitment offices, etc.).Anarchists do not forget that the way of resisting conditions the outcome ofconflicts and the future of societies to be rebuilt.Spanish translation.Moción aprobada por el 80 Congreso de la Federación Anarquista francófona,reunida en Merlieux el 6 de junio de 2022 No a las guerras, no a los imperialismos.
