Russian. People expected that, as in covid times, the government would make
payments to families with children in August. ---- But now there is not enough
money for tanks, so instead of helping families, the first lesson in public
schools throughout the country (this does not yet apply to private schools) is
the patriotic subject "Talk about the important." Moreover, its program is still
unknown. When the media began to discuss that on September 12, children would be
told about the so-called special operation in Ukraine, the Ministry of Education
replaced the manuals: there is no more in the new Ukrainian war at the lesson on
September 12.

An epic hemorrhoid for schools is the raising of the flag and the singing of the
national anthem, which should take place on Monday morning, before "Talk about
important things." The average number of students in Russian schools is up to a
thousand children. You can't put everyone on the line. Therefore, children are
separated into classes, high school activists raise the flag in the schoolyard.
In theory, the raising of the flag should be broadcast in every school room, but
schools do not have video equipment for this purpose. So the anthem is played on
cool projectors. Those who are late on Monday at eight in the morning will wait
at the closed school gate until the anthem is played.

When you hear "Russia is our sacred power...", what do you imagine? I imagine how
young anarchists in Penza are being electrocuted to get confessions of "illegal
learning to survive in the forest." I will imagine how Alexandra Skochilenko is
sitting in a St. Petersburg pre-trial detention center right now for a few tiny
pieces of paper with anti-war slogans that she put in a grocery store instead of
price tags. She sits without receiving the nutrition necessary for her health.
And now another crazy case of the Ural anti-fascists, with a bunch of arrests and
pressure because of some kind of firecrackers. And thousands and thousands of
other horrors and injustices.

When it sounds "Ukraine has not yet died ...", what emotions should we
experience? The yellow-blue flag is not exactly a flag of resistance to the
Kremlin's shitty empire. Behind the yellow-blue flag is its own list of stories
of corruption, lawlessness and injustice.

For example, the other day in Belarus, the trial of ten anarchists ended, they
received from 5 to 17 years on insane charges. Alexander Frantskevich received 17
years (Autonomous Action had disagreements with him, but against the background
of what is happening, personal grievances are of course leveled). So,
Frantskevich was handed over to the Lukashenka regime by the authorities of
post-Maidan Ukraine.

I am sure that the anarchists, who right now with weapons in their hands are
fighting under the yellow-blue flag against the Russian Federation, correctly
understand how it should be treated.

2. Brush your crocodile's teeth
Last week, Ivan Safronov, a former Kommersant journalist, received a monstrous
sentence of 22 years in prison for alleged treason. He specialized in the
military-industrial complex. The military did not like his note about the sale of
Russian combat aircraft to Egypt. It is enough to know about Safronov's case
that, according to the investigation, in German intelligence Safronov's
information was received by an agent with the call sign Wichser. It's great, it
sounds a little Rammsteinian ... Only in the translation of Wichser is a wanker.

And they also keep the former Izvestia journalist Alexandra Bayazitova in the
pre-trial detention center, despite her diabetes and poor health. She had a snack
with Promsvyazbank, before her arrest she led the telegram channel "Hell's
Grandmas", which was actually part of the network of channels of "Putin's cook"
and the owner of PMC "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Recently, the security forces detained (released without charges, apparently
under pressure from the editors) Lev Speransky, a journalist from Moskovsky
Komsomolets. They tried to find out from him who administers the VChK-OGPU. A
good telegram channel about crime, I recommend it. There, for example, there were
exclusive details of the investigation against the Combat Organization of
Anarcho-Communists.

In Tatarstan, there is a criminal case against several journalists for
cooperation with Radio Liberty. During the week, there were mass searches and
interrogations of regional journalists - the security forces believed that one of
them could be connected with Ilya Ponomarev, a fugitive State Duma deputy who in
Ukraine declares the organization of armed resistance to the Kremlin.

Many journalists are in jail for the so-called fakes about the army. For
cooperation with the "Project" and The Insider, which are declared undesirable
organizations, criminal liability is threatened.

What will the pressure against the media lead to? Journalists don't get paid that
much, especially not to risk jail time for their publications. Many will leave
the profession, those who stay will avoid tough topics.

Aleksey Navalny came up with the idea of using anti-corruption investigations for
anti-systemic struggle in Russian politics. But investigative journalism is
actually needed by the authorities - as a third-party controlling entity that
reveals goofy officials, security officials who steal and mayhem more than they
should by rank. Journalism is like that bird that gets pieces of meat from the
mouth of a crocodile, thus brushing its teeth.

If there is no journalism, there will be more and more corruption and lawlessness.

3. Decay scenarios
In the last issue, they began to discuss possible scenarios for the future, a
comrade raised the question - how should one treat the troops of Ukraine, when
and if they reach Pskov or Moscow? I am sure that they will not go beyond the
borders of Ukraine in 1991. Yes, Ukraine will help the armed resistance inside
Russia. About how Iran finances the Palestinian resistance, and Israel finances
the intra-Iranian opposition.

But in the event that the Russian army is thrown out of the territories captured
on February 24, and even more so from Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk, this will be a
huge crisis for the Putin system. The question will arise about the ingenious
planning of the "special operation", which claimed a huge number of lives of
young guys, turned the country's economy upside down.

Already, one of the municipal councils of St. Petersburg has demanded that Putin
be tried for treason. The posts of Dmitry Shkrebets, the father of one of those
killed on the cruiser Moskva, are becoming more and more popular. He asks a
logical question: why Putin expresses condolences to the British royal family -
in fact, the UK supplies Ukraine with weapons and imposes sanctions - but has not
yet expressed condolences to the families of the dead Russian military?

A popular forecast is that in the event of the collapse of the Putin system, the
Russian Federation will disintegrate according to the scenario of the USSR.
Former quasi-president Dmitry Medvedev recently devoted a telegram post to this
scenario.

Why the Russian Federation should disintegrate is not clear to me. It seems that
unfortunate analysts see the names of Udmurtia, Khakassia and others on the map,
and think - here are the future national states. But only they do not guess to
google that in Khakassia there are more than 80% of Russians, and in Udmurtia -
more than 50%. In general, in Russia, in the vast majority of regions, Russians
make up more than half of the population. Some national regions may secede, but
these are likely to be isolated cases.

A much more interesting question is the distribution of income between the
regions and Moscow. It was recently raised by Anatoly Bykov, a popular
businessman and public figure in Krasnoyarsk. He was quickly reminded that in the
90s everyone in Krasnoyarsk knew him as "Bull" or "Celentano", and he had many
unsolved particularly serious crimes. Bykov quickly went under investigation.

Similar events in Khabarovsk took place around the governor Sergei Furgal. He, of
course, made capital on the criminal schemes of the 90s. His election and
protests against his arrest are an attempt by the inhabitants of the region to
show their independence in relation to Moscow. Some strange opposition between
Moscow and Yekaterinburg is gaining momentum - we will return to it some other time.

But I am sure that the problem of powers between Moscow and the regions can be
solved without a bloody collapse of the country. As anarchists, we all the more
believe that major decisions should be made locally, by the very people they affect.
