commerce, start-ups, large international finance. From Parliament as an (oblique)

step, I would say. ---- The decanting in the so-called red regions is interesting
and noteworthy. Here I would like to dwell for a moment. On these 2 regions:
Tuscany and Emilia Romagna where there is a fairly interesting myth that
identifies being "red" in practice with having administered public affairs well
and having developed a "good" capitalism.
Now, it is not denied that in those regions there was an efficient
administration, perhaps even in the sign of an integration of the popular
classes. But that experience was possibly linked to the period of existence in
life (with all the defects of the case) of the PCI and the PSI. After that
experience, the idea remained substantially (accompanied by the occupation of
spaces sold as hegemony) that "here we govern better" based on the most blatant
tautology.
In reality in the "red" regions the heirs of the PCI have above all guaranteed
the ruling classes (which, let us remember, are not only formed by the
capitalists, ugly, dirty and bad, but also by the friends of the cooperatives,
the investee companies, the banks, etc. ... nothing bad mind you) and the
subordinate classes in a corporate context convenient for everyone.
So, in those regions FdI wins not because fascism has conquered the "red"
strongholds, but because, evidently, the ruling classes, in particular those most
suffering from globalization, but also the others (business, after all, is
business) they found the reliability and reassurance they have in the right-wing team
replaced the trust previously entrusted to the "left".

Let us return to the national level

What stands out is a huge abstention, but the extent of which was quite intuitive
for a long time now.
Politics reduced to a pure electoral game is of little interest to those who
experience increasingly difficult situations every day. It is dramatic to say
this, but the elections have become the stuff of the rich. Indeed, abstention is
now a sought-after quality in Western democracies. The fewer people vote the better.
So the fact that the self-styled left is consoled by arguing that the majority of
Italians did not vote for the right (or that, as you can also read in the
writings of professional historians, 74% of Italians did not vote FdI) only shows
that the level of misunderstanding of reality is now stratospheric. The majority
will not have voted for the right, but neither will the so-called left and those
who have been at home certainly cannot be enrolled in one or the other side.
The end of the Salvinian traction League is also evident in the electoral
dynamics. Salvini, a very overrated politician (there has never been one who with
17% at the head of the Ministry of the Interior, drops the team to go to vote -
which obviously did not happen - thanks only to favorable polls and an electoral
success in the most useless elections ever, the European ones) which had set up a
national freak that perhaps someone may have taken the bait, but which was
unlikely even to his own. Moreover, in total conflict with the ultraliberal and
separatist ideology of the Northern League. The communicative machine ultimately
communicated only with itself. This from memory of the communicators of nothing.
Profession today very appreciated in public institutions and which then,
inevitably, must deal with
the actual reality. There are also structural reasons that derive from the crisis
of the German economy that no longer pours conspicuous profits on the economy of
northern Italy and it is no coincidence that the contraction of the Northern
League electorate mainly concerns Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, to which
followed by Friuli Venezia-Giulia and Trentino. It is no coincidence, again, that
it is the same regions that, regardless of management, demanded differentiated
autonomy having extra profits to manage in the area.
Now these resources are no longer there and with differentiated autonomy they
would only manage misery: thus the structural interest in differentiated autonomy
falls, which has become a slogan without social and economic legs. And it can
represent a flag for Zaia who looks around and hasn't understood what's going on.
Therefore, the electorate of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs turned to FdI
for the protection of the state and nationalism, in view of the looming crisis,
asking to practice a protectionist policy and strong state subsidies.
Because of these structural reasons, the contraction of the Northern League's
electorate, but also of its social base, is destined to undergo a crisis that
will worsen and will probably have repercussions on the government majority.
The irreversibility of the PD structural crisis, according to the electoral
results, depends on the appearance of a third competitor of the electorate in the
sociological and productive area of the ZTL classes. Until before the elections,
the representation of these classes was claimed by Forza Italia and the PD from
the right. Now to intercept the consent, given the
distribution of the vote, the banal-criminal duo Renzi-Calenda joined. This has
deprived the PD of the possibility of development and growth on the right, taking
away a good 7% of the electorate. It is not excluded that in the future this
attractive nucleus may grow and attract consensus, subtracting them from the PD.
Although the classes represented by Calenda / Renzi are not numerous in our
country, characterized by small and very small businesses, little used to
innovation, and to the transnational and cosmopolitan capitalism typical of high
and cultured social groups.
The recovery of a class position by the PD is to be excluded, but its
representation of any defined social class is also to be excluded, and therefore
can only be consumed slowly like a candle, as has already happened to the French
Socialist Party. It would be truly a positive thing for Italian politics to
definitively eliminate the PD's misunderstanding. A party that no longer makes
any sense (if it ever had) considering that, if the project holds, the real
disadvantaged classes (as well as abstention) will be represented by the M5S di
Conte revived, (plus some
crumb of the Greens and the Italian Left).
Theoretically M5S "Contiano" + the others mentioned could have some weight. But
in politics the sum does not make the total. It is essential that there be a
radical change in the construction of any new project, abandoning methods,
speeches and above all people who are now completely out of context, useless.
If the PD is in constant decline, the so-called left "antisystem" is in a deep
coma. Divided into quarrelsome and sectarian micro-realities, unable to gather
support not only from an electoral point of view, but above all from a social
point of view, among the "people". Certainly the electoral arena cannot be their
place. If the PC of Rizzo and the PCI of Alboresi, however much
caricatures of a thirty-year past, at least maintain a certain ideological
coherence, the bankruptcy experience of UP certifies (or at least should) the
absurd waste of energies of movementist realities unsuitable not only to stand
for elections, but even to do politics, to to relate to actual reality, thinking
about transforming reality into one's dreams simply by thinking about them. But
reality is not a social center, it is not a "liberated" place (as it was said a
few years ago), it is something much more complicated, difficult and, above all,
impure. Confronting it, moreover, from an electoral point of view is completely
useless.
Finally FdI. The prophecy has come true. Almirante's heirs are 26%. It is neither
an absolute majority, nor is it an epochal triumph. Thanks to a barbaric
electoral law they will still have to deal with the Lega and Forza Italia which
will give them a hard time. Furthermore, the limited sovereignty it has "enjoyed"
for decades already has
forced Meloni to propose nothing more than the right-wing version of Draghi,
limiting a bit on civil rights. Fascism is certainly present in the ranks of that
party, but it is not currently marketable. I would point out for the US that
there is Meloni or someone else is completely indifferent. They supported
Pinochet we don't think they will have problems with FdI (which are not Pinochet).
To close: "What to do"? It seems to me that in 2022 it is truly year zero. Not of
the left or of the class struggle, but precisely the year zero. We have a war at
the gates that will last for years, a suicidal subjection to the US which has
seized this opportunity to destroy Europe (see also the latest sabotage), an
epochal economic and energy crisis. Issues on which Italy no longer seems to have
a say. Regaining a decent minimum role for the state, relaunching public health,
working on alternative energies, closing the jobs-act, alternating between school
and work, raising wages and maintaining citizenship income. Few themes and not
even much left-wing. Common sense.
Here starting from simple common sense seems to have become revolutionary. But
politics today seems to take care of the curtains and condemns itself to uselessness.
So we are.
