WORLD WORLDWIDE GREECE News Journal Update - (en) Greece, Protaanka: Anti-Election Intervention in "Ef.Syn." (ca, de, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

A little while ago, members of our political core proceeded with an anti-election

intervention in the "Newspaper of the Editors" requesting the publication ofrelevant text on its online page, which was done. Here is the text of theintervention. ---- Anti-Election Intervention in "Ef.Syn." ----We are on thethreshold of the elections and we are going through the last "critical" periodbefore the peak of the "political battles". The days we are going through aredays we will remember forever. These are days stained with the blood of dozens ofour fellow men in Tempe who were killed in a prescribed crime of which therailroad workers were warning and crying out dramatically. Thousands of peopleacross the country motivated by righteous anger took to the streets to denouncethis state and capitalist crime, to fight so that the real culprits(state-governments-capitalists) are not covered up and to clash with the paidtorturers of the state apparatus despite the severe repression and against allkinds of professional provocateurs. And all this, at the same time that the guilty, the co-responsible and theexploiters of even death have their eyes on the elections. We all now know thatcrime in Tempe, especially in relation to the elections, is of concern to them.Everywhere the country's bourgeois political system is planning how it willexploit the death of our fellow human beings in order to strengthen each partygroup's electoral percentages. First and foremost, the government of the NewDemocracy, which was quick to attribute the criminal responsibility for themedieval mode of operation of the railways to "human error" and then, fearingelectoral losses, tried to reconcile the irreconcilable with provocative"apologies" of a communicative nature. The same is true of the SYRIZA oppositionunder whose government the privatization of OSE took place with great fanfare. The people of Koumoundourou have the audacity and are waiting for the crime inTempi, for which they are jointly responsible, to act as a trigger for the"electoral overthrow of Mitsotakis" instead of hiding to avoid being shot. Upclose and the rest of the bastards of the would-be administrators of power andtheir henchmen. It is no coincidence that the first media that spoke about the effect of crime inTempe regarding the elections, were AUGI and EFSYN rubbing their hands and hopingfor the rise of their political boss. While on the one hand the scratches of theN.D. they see crime in Tempe as a danger to electoral losses, the SocialDemocratic scumbags claim to favor themselves, believing that the people will notconsider their own criminal responsibilities for the condition of the railroads.Trading hope over blood, death and pain. But, this has always been and this willalways be the ethos of state and government actors on both the right and leftsides of systemic management. But let's move on and face our own responsibilities as a society, as a workingclass and as youth in the face of the upcoming elections. What is our debt inthis unjust, exploitative and rotten system that flattens our lives and leads usto death? Can we turn it around? And if so, what can the elections have to dowith such a difficult but not impossible historical undertaking? According to us,none!Being at the heart of a global systemic crisis that has been raging since 2008and which in the Greek area since 2010 and the inclusion in the first memorandumwe have lived through the looting of every aspect of social life, only one thingcan be certain: each government will be worse than the last. The same will ofcourse also apply to the next one that will be formed in a short time from now, whether it will be again with a trunk a delegitimized social N.D. or an unstablegovernment of "progressive cooperation" between the purists of SYRIZA and PASOK.Let's look back: from the government of "there is money" and Papademos, fromSamaros/Venizelos to SYRIZA/ANEL and now in the neoliberal right of the last fouryears, every evil comes to succeed a greater one. What changed; What can changewith the succession of persons in the management of a structurally exploitativesystem? Let's end the delusions. All different government variants have now been tried. All the recipes formanaging the structural and insurmountable capitalist crisis have also beentried, with the same tragic results. Let's see the present with someunderstandable examples. Around the world, inflation has soared due to theincrease in the money supply that central banks have taken to deal with therecession of 2020. If during that period Greece was not included in the bondpurchase programs (i.e. the purchase of government debt by the central banks) itwould go bankrupt in the midst of a health crisis. To avoid this in the midst ofa pandemic, the economic and political managers of the stolen wealth of our laborcooked up a policy which shifted the consequences of the new episode of thecrisis. One of the effects we are already experiencing is inflation. So how dothey try to appease him? With the withdrawal of the measures that the statesthemselves, the governments, the banks and the international capitalist directorstook (increases in interest rates, suspension of the bond market, etc.). Whatdoes it practically entail? The return of recession, the launch of global debtand new austerity packages. If the pandemic did not break out and the lockdownsdid not happen, the recession that had already hit in combination with the fiscalrequirements for primary surpluses, would have already led to new memoranda, which would even be milder in the face of what is to come. What do we mean by these examples? That claims of "small improvements" are longdead. They ended with the outbreak of the most structural, the most severe crisisin the history of capitalism that we have known. That "small" can be won, canonly be from our own struggles. And such examples exist through the action of thelabor movement. They have been in COSCO, they have been in EFOOD, they have beenin Kavala Oil, they have been elsewhere. The stake of the time is to multiply thesmall victories and take them a step further: to raise a social and politicalissue. To believe in our strengths, to fight organized, to believe in thepossibility of revolutionary overthrow. We are the ones who produce the wealth,we should take it into our own hands by overthrowing the capitalist ownership ofthe means of production. We are the vast majority of society, we should make thedecisions and not governments, parliaments and state drones. If we make thatdecision, no police will be able to save them. What do anarchists propose?Abstaining from the elections that we propose is primarily a denial of the state, bourgeois democracy and parliamentarism. It is a denial of this rotten systemthat has dominated the last three centuries all over the planet. But it is notsterile denial. It is not a refusal to participate in the "commons" asslanderously claimed by all the partisan enemies of abstinence. The abstinencethat we propose, the mass popular abstinence, is precisely the involvement in thepublic: it is the proposal to take the situation into our own hands. Not toentrust our own affairs to professional administrators of brutality. Theabstinence we propose is equivalent to participation in the commons, taking overtheir management by us.Faced with the dilemma of a bourgeois state or a workers' state, or with theintra-systemic dilemmas of a neoliberal or social democratic state, our movementhas answered a long time ago: no state at all! Socialization of means of wealthproduction, services and goods. All the wealth in our hands. Abolish thehierarchical institutions of the state and replace them with popular assemblies, community councils and producer-worker councils. All decisions in our hands, allaffairs under the control of popular bodies. Developing a revolutionary programof overturning in the here and now through the building of strong political andclass agencies. Immediate implementation of a plan of socialization, expropriation of resources, equal distribution of goods and mutualaid-transport-distribution networks. Such a program could be started immediatelyif we decided to do so. Not in "coexistence" with the capitalist economy asadvocated by the various logics of "islands of freedom" or "alternativeeconomies" that function more as an assimilable "decor" of barbarism but throughthe here and now building of a revolutionary movement to overthrow capitalism andthe state .For our intervention in the Journal of EditorsThe "EfSyn" in which we intervene today is a completely systemic instrument thatrepresents the interests of a bourgeois party of power, whose governance waslinked to the 3rd onerous memorandum and the post-memorandum myths thataccompanied the fiscal subordination to the international financial directoratesfor decades. A four-year leveling of wages, pensions, labor, trade union andsocial rights and a sometimes traditional repression full of blood that onlyrarely showed the "sensitive" means of the left or a repression of assimilation."EfSyn" had the role of regime vanguard all these years.  He covered up the statecrimes of the period 2015-2019, while from 2019 until today, when he joined theopposition, he is fighting tooth and nail for the return of SYRIZA to politicalpower. The existence of "friendly" columnists towards the "movements" within it, is notthe "other" face of its boss. It is the way in which the memorabilia bastards ofSYRIZA try to take advantage of the righteous social anger, mediate it with newlies and trap it in the ballot box. The movements for them are the useful idiotson whose backs they want to climb to retake the government. On the contrary forus, the labor and student movement, the various social movements, are seeds thatferment new worlds, as long as they are organized away from entrapment in theagendas of bourgeois politics, but also do not become conscript bodies of theunsolicited vanguards of the "dictatorship of the proletariat" .But one might wonder: doesn't the "ease" of an intervention in EFSYN also certifyits "friendliness" or at least its tolerance towards the movements, whose voicecan be heard? In principle we anarchists have always intervened in media of allparty interests. Secondly, there is a noticeable difference: in the period ofgovernment of N.D. EFSYN expects any intervention, even by anarchists, to hit the"right" and strengthen the opposition of SYRIZA. In other words, it has open armsfor anti-government and anti-ND interventions and "voices" considering that itsboss, being the dominant opposition force, will reap the benefits. With us theydefinitely fell "out". We have come to declare ABSENCE and strike the medium andhis boss. We did not come as invited nor are we guests. We did not come to winthe sympathy of the SYRIZA audience for some request of ours, but to put itbefore their responsibilities.EpilogueAs we predicted, the system is sick and can no longer produce anything butdestitution, poverty and wars for the many. The question is whether we willbecome cannon fodder or build our own world. If we become complicit in our ownslow death or the embodiment of resistance that the world so desperately needs. Are we going to fight collectively claiming the immediate improvement of ourliving conditions while simultaneously looking at the overthrow and therevolution, or are we going to be indifferent and passively close toindividualism and the convenient for the system declaration "nothing changes". Atleast let's save our dignity. Let's not vote for the scraps of our lives. Let'snot become complicit in the ongoing class crime and social injustices against us.Let's shake them this bloody election season.Abstention from the elections - Social Revolution is the only solutionOrganize, Collective, Fight"Whoever speaks of political power speaks of dominion; but where there isdominion, there must necessarily be a more or less large portion of society whichis dominated; and of course, those who are dominated detest those who dominatethem, while those which dominate must, again, necessarily, inhibit and thereforesuppress, those who are subject to their dominance. This is the history ofpolitical power, from the moment it was established in the world."
