And now let's get into the details. Within the general decline in births, an
interesting phenomenon occurs: the number of children born to married couples has
fallen by 45.8%, while that of children born to unmarried couples has increased
by 148.5%, equal to approximately 30% of those born in Italy. In 2002 it was 10%.

Of all those born in 2002, 85% were baptized; now the percentage has dropped to
over 70.

Another interesting fact: in 2018 the number of civil marriages exceeded that of
religious marriages: 98,182 against 97,596. In twenty years their number has
almost doubled, without considering the boom that occurred during the pandemic,
when churches were unable to obtain protection from their respective saints due
to the virus, and remained closed. Of course, like all statistics, these too
should be broken down by geographical area or other specificity, in fact the
South sees these percentages completely distorted, and civil marriages here are
still 30% of the total.

In any case, the marriage figure must be accompanied by a more important fact:
unmarried couples have exceeded 10%, and their number has tripled in twenty
years, as also demonstrated by the figures for those born out of wedlock. The
number of divorces also doubled compared to 2002, with a boom of 100,000 in 2016
alone when the procedures were reduced by law. Today there is talk of 300
divorces for every 100,000 marriages.

With regard to abortions, in 2020 they fell to an all-time low of 66,413, a
percentage of 5.40 for women aged 15 to 49, compared to 9.22 in the previous
survey. The figure must certainly be seen in the more general decline in births,
but the sources cited tell us that the conscientious objections of doctors and
health personnel are also declining, while the notorious life support centers
have dropped from 342 since 2018 at 243.

The church therefore retreats, and perhaps this is why its avant-gardes are
screaming ever louder. The recruitment of priests is falling: they were 502 in
2002, they are 283 in 2020: 12,000 priests disappeared in just 18 years; the nuns
went worse, going from 108,175 in 2002 to 70,020 in 2020. A landslide that does
not seem to stop: there were around 8,500 Catholic schools in 2000, today they
are just over 6,600. Catholic kindergartens fell by 23% (from 6,177 to 4,755) and
an almost similar percentage concerns the decline in Catholic elementary schools
(from 1,118 to 932)

This set of figures, which I invite you to read without haste, because each one
can lead to a reflection on the growing secularization of society, is also to
some extent the result of the work that the many anticlerical, libertarian,
feminist, Lgbtqia+ realities do and do. A sort of ongoing victory, still to be
completed, which however shouldn't make us forget that behind appearances,
sometimes unpleasant truths are hidden. These are the truths we have been dealing
with for years in this section: pedophilia, financial cheating, racist and
discriminatory rage against those who make choices that do not comply with the
dictates of the Catholic shaaria. These include the issue of public financing of
the Catholic Church which, in the face of the conspicuous decline of the Vatican
octopus, is constantly growing; the revenue of the 8x1000 in 2020 reached a peak,
thanks, as our readers know, to the fraudulent mechanism included in the 1985
renewal of the agreement which gives the church 70% of the sums of those who do
not choose any donation to any church. In the last 10 years of 8x1000 alone the
church has collected 10 billion and 341 million euros.

The octopus controls the state, the government, the parties, practically without
many obstacles. The ridiculous farce of the "states general of the birth rate"
held last month in Rome is there to remind us of this: those who in theory should
worry about world overpopulation are sounding the alarm on the decline in births,
and find a solution to the Italian population decline by opening the doors to the
migrants that Western predatory development forces to go as far as our barred
doors. Those who lead policies of impoverishment of the population, which widen
youth unemployment and precariousness, are sounding the alarm. They sound the
alarm, and this is the real problem, because behind the falling birth rate there
are also choices of freedom and people's self-determination. And when we see
decrepit cardinals, the pope, a political class that preaches "good" and raids
badly, as per clerical teaching, address the issue of births, we only see
characters who still want to continue to creep under our sheets to decide how and
when live our emotional and sexual relationships.

Here is traced the path of the battles to go through; it is the same as always,
the one that is leading us with difficulty to significant conquests, the one that
shows us the figures to contest, as happened to Minister Roccella at the Turin
Book Fair. The secularism we want is that of people's self-determination, of
anti-fascism, of anti-racism, of the abolition of the privileges of the church,
of the abolition of the church itself, of the growth of self-management cultures
and practices, free from the conditioning of the state, the capitalism and any
form of power.
