The CIT closes in Hannover the last session of its highest
decision-making body, its congress , leaving a stronger and more
cohesive organization. ---- At this meeting, the international sections
federated in the CIT have debated at length different current issues,
from the future of the international and its expansion to other parts of
the world, through support for projects in conflict zones such as Rojava
and aid to precarious workers in Myanmar. ---- The congress, organized
by the local union, FAU, in a natural environment, has taken place as
planned, where camaraderie and respect between the different sections
has prevailed. Aided by translators, we have addressed the agenda items
in English and Spanish, having in-depth debates and reaching resolutions
for the next 5 years, until the next congress.

Changes are made within the planned rotation within the internal
organizational chart. The USI gives way to the CNT to be in charge of
the treasury for the next 5 years and the IWW-NARA, the current
secretariat, will give way, within a year, to the USI in the presidency
of the international.

Furthermore, yesterday, together with the observers, an enriching
informal session was held on the future and current work of the CIT,
together with various debates of the sections, from the functioning of
each section, sectors with more strength, the internal formations of
each union, to the defense of the rights of trans people, against racism
and sexism.

This congress demonstrates the maturity of the different unions. All the
debates have been enriching and have brought together different
realities between Europe and America. For example, colleagues from FORA,
the Argentine anarcho-syndicalist, explained to us the poor working
conditions they have there. From Poland, the IP tells us about the labor
legislation they suffer from and the ESE, from Greece, about the
shortcomings and difficulties they have at the union level and for
solidarity with migrants and refugees.

Once again, it is demonstrated that one of the pillars that support the
International Confederation of Labor are solidarity and mutual support.
For this reason, the answer has been affirmative when international help
has been requested from sections, such as the "La Switzerland" conflict
in Spain, or from sections that do not belong to the ILC, to support the
strikes in Myanmar , since we understand that they do not We should only
support the struggles of the sections belonging to it and that
solidarity has to be universal between like-minded organizations.

Finally, the outgoing secretary of the IWW-NARA closed the congress,
thanking all the sections for their attendance and encouraging them to
start working on the resolutions taken and hoping that the growth within
the sections will continue, with the conviction of the essentiality of
internationalism for the effectiveness of our struggle as a class.
