"We share this very interesting note made to our organization by
RosarioPlus, in the framework of the IV Congress. Recommended reading! -FAR" ---- The Anarchist Federation of Rosario (FAR), which brings
together social, union and political activists from the south of Santa
Fe, held its IV Congress in the city. ---- "Criminal organization", "the
main cause of the impoverishment of Argentines", "the basis of all the
problems we have", this is how President Javier Milei describes the
State, which he has been in charge of since December 10. Although his
"anarcho-capitalist" expressions propose an "abolition of the State",
similar to the slogan emblematic of the first anarchists such as
Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, Mikhail Bakunin and Piotr Kropotkin, the
ideology of the president is light years away from the concepts and
flags of anarchism.
"Milei, like all the leaders of the Austrian School, such as Murray
Rothbard, are ultra-liberals, they have nothing to do with anarchism,"
said Emilio Crisi, a member of the Anarchist Federation of Rosario
(FAR), in conversation with Rosario Plus. "(The libertarians) come from
a school of extreme commercialization of people's lives, which only
favors the concentrated economic sectors. On the other hand, anarchism
is a political current inherited from the family of socialism of the
late 19th century, which thinks that a society of classes and
privileges, without oppressors or oppressed, must be overthrown,"
explained the municipal worker and delegate of ATE Rosario.
"We are totally antagonistic to what the ultra-liberalism of the
president proposes," emphasized Emilio, and added: "We seek a society
where there are no injustices."
Regarding the model of state management proposed by anarchism, Crisi
indicated that it focuses on "a social and political administration that
does not contemplate the generation of a new political class," and cited
the example of the Rojava revolution, which arose in Kobane, in Syrian
Kurdistan, on July 19, 2012, and was driven by an unwavering commitment
to the liberation of women.
When it comes to finding a similarity with Milei's proposals, with the
necessary differences, anarchism also questions the privileges of "the
caste." "The administration of politicians failed," Emilio stressed, and
remarked: "In addition to the fact that we are against the concept of
the State from anarchism, we observe the poor management of professional
politicians." "There must be a management of society by the population
itself. In this case, Milei is just another political class," he said.
Anarchism had its summit in Rosario
The Anarchist Federation of Rosario (FAR), which brings together social,
union and political activists from the south of Santa Fe, held its IV
Congress in the city, with the presence of provincial delegations
(Tucumán, Santa Cruz, Buenos Aires, Neuquén and Córdoba) and
international delegations (Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Spain and the United
States), where they analyzed the social, political and economic context
that both the country and the region are going through.
Regarding the conclusions of the meeting, Crisi highlighted: "In the
short term, we are going to have to reinforce the social and union
struggle at a regional and local level because with the cut in the
budget allocations from the Nation to the provinces, the governors and
the employers are going to use this excuse to freeze salaries."
In addition, the FAR representative anticipated that they will be
attentive to legislative advances that harm workers. "The spirit of this
Government is to attack collective bargaining agreements and unions," he
said.
"We can call the national government "Turbo Capitalist", a term coined
by the sister CGT of Spain to characterize ultra-liberal management.
This concept refers to the degree of acceleration of reforms and
anti-popular measures, deregulation of the economy, transfer of
resources to concentrated sectors of the economy (multinationals,
extractive, financial), emptying and budget cuts of the public sector,
regression in social rights and historical achievements," indicated the
FAR, when analyzing Milei's management.
Regarding the long-term proposals that emerged in Congress, the
Anarchist Federation of Rosario highlighted: "Given the exhaustion and
failure of the management of the public, of services, of strategic areas
of the economy, by the political class, and in the face of the advance
of businessmen to try to profit, commercialize and destroy this; It is
time to come up with historic proposals for administration, management
and control of workers, unions, users, and neighbors."
"At the closing ceremony, political sectors from the left and some from
Peronism, whom we see every day in the struggle, came and most of them
shared our position: we cannot wait for the election period. The
historic conquests for workers have been achieved and defended in the
streets," commented the municipal worker, about the exchange of
positions at the closing of the meeting.
