While speaking at the Detroit Economic Club, Trump stated, "Well, we're a developing nation too, just take a look at Detroit," and suggested that if Kamala Harris is elected, "Our whole country will end up being like Detroit."
This is not just an unfortunate slip of the tongue; it's a glaring example of his disconnect from everyday Americans. It's also an example of his poor judgment skills and mental unfitness.
Detroit has become a symbol of resilience, showing that even after bankruptcy and economic decline, it can rise again with spirit and community effort. Yet, Trump's remarks reflect an alarming pattern: a lack of empathy, respect, and understanding for the very people he seeks to lead.
Trump's continued divisive rhetoric and flippant remarks demonstrate he is not fit to be President. He doesn't even seem to be mentally competent. Unlike Kamala Harris, Trump hasn't released his medical records. We have no idea what kind of cognitive or physical state Trump is in — but we do know that every speech of his has been rambling, lie-filled, erratic, and nonsensical.
