the previous day, the Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group, Anarchist
Communists Meanjin, and Geelong Anarchist Communists agreed to
reconstitute themselves as branches of the Anarchist Communist
Federation (ACF). On May 1 of the same year the Anarchist Communist
Federation was officially launched. This represents groups in Melbourne,
Brisbane, and Geelong. ---- We are gratified that unity was reached in
constructing an anarchist communist organisation in Australia and the
Anarchist Communist Group sends its best wishes and solidarity to the
newly formed ACF.
Here in Britain, revolutionary anarchist communism is at a low. We look
towards dialogue with all anarchist communists/ libertarian communists
in Britain. We realise that there are important differences and
divergences between different groups and individuals. Nevertheless, we
feel that dialogue needs to be opened up now, looking towards greater
unity and effectiveness. Only such a dialogue can begin to break down
the barriers between us. At such a time in the United Kingdom and
throughout the world, it is important that the anarchist communist
message is spread far more widely and effectively. This means greater
coordination and greater understanding between anarchist communists /
libertarian communists in Britain.

We should look towards ways of opening up dialogue between anarchist
communist groups and individuals, moving towards greater theoretical
unity and collective action. The threat of environmental collapse,
increasing austerity measures, the drive to war, the total bankruptcy of
the Labour Party,  and the increasing influence of the far right,
requires a response from libertarian revolutionaries. In this way, we
can break out of the ghetto and irrelevance and look towards spreading
our ideas and propaganda on a wider scale.

As the Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group said in 2024: "Now is the
time for anarchists to unite around a common platform of theory and
practice. By organising together, and through our interventions in the
struggles of our fellow workers, we can demonstrate the usefulness of
our ideas and the potential for a mass revival of revolutionary politics."

The founding statement of the Australian ACF stated:

"As anarchists, we recognise that it is more important than ever that we
get organised. The planet that we rely on for every single part of our
existence is dying; choked by capitalism's relentless expansion of
environmental destruction. Donald Trump is leading a fascist movement in
the United States. Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, fully backed
by the US. And tension between superpowers edges higher. The threat of
global conflict - including nuclear war - rises with it."

We look towards an opening up of dialogue and welcome any contribution
towards unity between anarchist communist/ libertarian communist
revolutionaries.
