defense of their own existence with the policy of "an eye for an eye, a tooth fora tooth/". ---- Libertarian Student Movement, 1968. ---- Today marks the 55thanniversary of the murder of high school student Edson Luís by the Brazilianmilitary dictatorship. Edson Luis was killed in the context of large studentmobilizations that took place in several states of the country, against themilitary dictatorship. Dictatorship is supported by US imperialism and promotedby reactionary associations of businessmen, military and politicians.In Rio de Janeiro, students mobilized for their specific demands and denouncedthe presence of the apparatus of repression at the Calabouço restaurant, indowntown Rio de Janeiro, where police and military carried out frequent raids,with the intention of frightening student resistance.
