Perhaps Dmitry is the only or one of very few anarchists of the current
generation who will be remembered by his comrades even in a hundred
years: communes, squats and punk-hardcore ensembles will be named after
Petrov. ---- Unfortunately, there are few people like Dmitry now: those
for whom anarchism is not an element of a subculture, not a distant
utopia. He said: if we are anarchists, we must strive to build anarchist
communism not sometime there, but during our lifetime.

Any of his actions emanated a bit of reckless sincerity: some kind of
fight with the Nazis in the 2000s, everyone ran away from the cops, and
Petrov had to be pulled by the scruff of the neck from the Nazi he was
beating on the steps of the subway with a metal chain.

But with no less temperament, he organizes elderly women protesting
against the cutting down of another Moscow square. Petrov was one of the
best polemicists in anarchist discussion clubs. Having become interested
in the Kurdish movement, he became one of the best specialists on this
topic in Russia.

Putin's 2022 invasion found Dmitry in political relocation to Ukraine.
And he not only joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but
also tried to organize a full-fledged anarchist unit there: something
like how the Russian Nazis turned out to be the "Russian Volunteer Corps".

The war, which almost no one believed in on February 23, 2022, has been
going on for more than two years. It is unknown how long the
Russian-Ukrainian war will last, and even more so it is unknown when and
how it will end.

But the impulse with which the anarchists went to the Armed Forces of
Ukraine, and remain there to this day, is not about Ukrainian statehood,
internationally recognized borders or anything like that. People went to
take up arms in the path of Putin's shit empire. Whatever the outcome,
it was definitely not in vain.

Gnawed by rodents
The main Russian news of the past week was the flood in the Orenburg
region. How many people remember that the Urals are not only mountains,
but also a river? But it overflowed so much that thousands of people
lost their homes and almost all their property. The state promised the
victims only 50-100 thousand rubles in compensation. The regional
governor, at a meeting with residents, ordered the removal of phones so
as not to film the meeting. The cause of the disaster, according to the
builders of the dam, which could not withstand the spring melting of
snow, was... rodents that gnawed through it.

Shortly before the flood in the Orenburg region, 13 gold miners who were
buried alive in the Amur region were declared dead. They mined gold
underground, and the owners of the mine knew about safety violations:
now a criminal case has been opened against them.

In winter, as we remember, boiler houses began to break down in the
cold: for many years the state was greedy to invest normal money in
repairing the housing and communal services infrastructure.

There is still a lot of uncertainty about the events in Moscow at
Crocus. The terrorists obviously underwent some kind of training: if
only because they moved in a well-coordinated group, fired at the same
time and did not kill each other.

But when they were detained, they appeared in the image not of tough
saboteurs who staged the largest terrorist attack in modern Russian
history, but of some comical suckers from the series "Our Russia", to
whom the "preacher's assistant wrote in a telegram" and offered to earn
money, and who did not They even bothered to change cars while fleeing
the crime scene.

Many questions arise: was the terrorist attack at Crocus really so well
planned, or is it possible to enter any shopping and entertainment
center in the capital with machine guns, kill dozens of people on the
spot and set it on fire so that the death toll exceeds a hundred?

Maybe all crowded places in Moscow are protected in much the same way,
and the cladding there is made of flammable materials, contrary to fire
safety rules?

In Moscow, every minute some driver receives a fine for minor
violations: a "smart" video camera records, for example, illegal
crossing of a lane on the road, and identifies the owner of the car. But
the terrorists from Crocus left in the same car in which they arrived,
hundreds of kilometers from Moscow. Now the cops say that they
specifically detained them in the Bryansk region... But I don't really
believe this.

Considering the kind of public torture the detained thugs were subjected
to, obviously, they will now confirm any version of the cops: even to
the point that the leader of their terrorist cell was Taras Bulba.

It is known that although there were a lot of cops under Putin, in fact
there is a shortage in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The cops have a
lot of bosses and bosses of bosses, a lot of idiots who screw people
over for reposting, but the cops who really keep order on the streets,
according to various estimates and in different departments, are missing
from 10 to 40%. And something suggests that this is one of the main
reasons for so many victims in the terrorist attack in Moscow.

Natural disasters or failures of the cops happen in any country. But the
Russian state persists in complete absurdity: it spends thousands of
lives and billions of dollars trying to "bring the Russian world" to its
Ukrainian neighbors, persecutes gays and Jehovah's Witnesses, and much
more - you all know it yourself. Instead of helping their citizens.

Before our eyes, the Russian state is forgetting how to do anything
useful for people. And it becomes like a dam in Orsk: which, perhaps,
was destroyed by some unknown ferret or beaver.
