Share Tweet Forward Share Dear, A vital tiger sanctuary has completely run out of space, and until it can be enlarged, tigers currently caged in awful zoos and circuses cannot be rescued.    Our partner, Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT), has an opportunity to expand its sanctuary by purchasing a piece of neighboring land – but they need your help. Captive tigers, bears and many other animals are desperately waiting for help to arrive in the form of animal-lovers like you. All over Thailand, tigers and other animals are cruelly abused for profit… …Like Susu, a Bengal tiger who was chained up for 15 years in Phuket Zoo in southern Thailand, woefully mistreated for human ‘entertainment.’  Credit: Amy Jones/Moving Animals Every day of those 15 years she lived in anguish, locked up like a prisoner. Her  “crime?” Being born in a country where animals are commodities, used to make money until they offer no more value to their owners.   Susu was kept in chains all day so people could pet her and pose for photos. At night, she was confined to a tiny, barren concrete cell. While chained, she would frantically pace in small circles, panting and distressed – a clear sign of her mistreatment. Now, other tigers like Susu wait for rescue…   Please help by making a donation now! Animals like Salamas cannot be saved until WFFT has the space. Credit: Amy Jones/Moving Animals Salamas was rescued in 2023 from a brutal breeding facility, but others like her cannot be saved until WFFT has the space.  Salamas sadly passed away in September, but thanks to WFFT and our supporters, she finally experienced kindness and freedom in her last months. Tragically, the sanctuary has run out of space. Susu and Salamas are not unique. There are many other tigers in equally bad condition and we can help them.   After being rescued by WFFT, Susu felt grass under her feet for the first time in her sad, painful life. She experienced sunshine, proper care, a healthy diet and a life close to freedom in a near-natural habitat – things she had never known in 15 long years.   Today, her favorite thing to do is lie on the grass in the sunshine beside her one-eyed tiger companion, Rambo. This is a simple freedom every tiger should experience, but sadly, one that many in Thailand never do.
