 With each passing day, the drama of war becomes more and more present in

everyone's lives. From Ukraine to Gaza, from Sudan to Yemen, from
Kurdistan to Myanmar, not to mention all the other dozens of forgotten
conflicts, the murderous nature of armies, states and capital continues
to claim victims. For this reason, we believe it is essential to
continue and strengthen our antimilitarist commitment from an
internationalist and class perspective. We consider the following areas
of intervention to be priorities for the coming months.
* Make November 4th Deserter's Day, overturning the official celebration
of the Armed Forces and War Day to say no to all nationalisms and all
homelands. At this time, the individual and collective, ethical and
political refusal to participate in the war machine is especially
important in international war scenarios. In particular, the recent
increase in the phenomenon of desertion, objection, refusal and draft
evasion now involves several tens of thousands of conscripts of the
Ukrainian and Russian armies, effectively putting their respective
military commands in crisis. Even in the Israeli army, the phenomenon of
draft evasion is increasingly visible, showing how a grassroots
opposition is possible to stop the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.

* Support the struggles against military installations and bases and the
war industry in the territories. In particular, we support the upcoming
street deadlines promoted by the organizations that oppose the military
polygons in the Pordenone area. At the same time, we continue to engage
in other situations of struggle from the No Muos movement in Sicily to
the No Base movement between Pisa and Livorno, from the opposition to
the Città dell'Aerospazio in Turin to the many initiatives against the
production and trade of weapons, and against the growing militarization
of schools and universities.

* Build concrete solidarity with the antimilitarist initiatives that
will take place in the same period at an international level, starting
with the Antimilitarist Action Days in the Balkans from 1 to 10 October.
For this reason, we confirm our commitment to the Antimilitarist
Assembly and call on those who oppose all wars and all armies to build
grassroots initiatives to stop the death machine.

Italian Anarchist Federation - Trieste Conference 14-15 September 2024

The comrades of the FAI gathered at the conference on 14 and 15
September in Trieste express their solidarity with the Centro studi
libertari "Pietro Gori" and the Federazione Anarchica Empolese e della
Valdelsa for the boycott action with which the municipality of Empoli
has tried to weaken their public initiative in the city.
Evidently, anticlericalism and the promotion of free thought are always
too uncomfortable topics because they call into question power
structures and cultural paradigms that for some are untouchable.
All the more reason, therefore, to renew our collective commitment to
the defense of freedom against all dogma.
