September 1st will mark the 45th anniversary of Radio Libertaire's very first broadcast on the FM band. After infiltrating the ranks of radio stations vying for a frequency, and after a long struggle against state power-a struggle marked by demonstrations, police violence, and various threats-Radio Libertaire, the radio station of the Anarchist Federation, has established itself permanently on 89.4 FM in the Île-de-France region, broadcasting 24/7. You can also listen online: https://www.radio-libertaire.org/accueil.php To celebrate this milestone, as we do every five years, Radio Libertaire and the Anarchist Federation are organizing a large fundraising event on November 7th and 8th at the Salle Olympe de Gouges, 15 rue Merlin in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.
The program is currently being finalized, and we are working diligently on it.
Over these two days, roundtables and concerts will alternate, broadcast live and in front of an audience.
The full program will be revealed in upcoming issues of Le Monde libertaire. From its inception, Radio libertaire has been able to count on the unwavering support of artists, and especially singers like Ferré, Lavilliers, Guidoni, and so many others. Likewise, in 2026, artists will be there to sing and dance.
The roundtables organized during these two days will reflect the themes and struggles that unite anarchists, both locally and internationally. Mobilization against all forms of fascism in society, against the militarization of youth, support for anarchists imprisoned in Russia, the fight against the digitization of our lives, against the capitalist predations perpetrated by nuclear power, AI, and its data centers...
Two days to come together, reflect, mobilize, and contribute to the future of a radio station whose independence and fighting spirit will prove invaluable in the years to come.
