Germany, ag-freiburg: Racism fight, overcome borders! - Anti Racist Action Day in Karlsruhe on 30th / 31st October (de)

(en) Germany, ag-freiburg: Racism fight, overcome borders! -
Anti Racist Action Day in Karlsruhe on 30th / 31st October (de)
[machine translation]

From 30 to 31 October in Karlsruhe, the Antiracist Action Days will take place. Assisted
by a local and regional alliance of various groups and individuals, they should send a
strong signal against racism and for a world without borders. A survey, there are the
A-mains. For Freiburg there is a common Zuganreise: ---- Saturday, October 31 // 09:30 //
clock HBF track 2 ---- Following the call of the Anarchist Network West * to the
Antiracist Action Days in Karlsruhe on 30 and 31 October 2015: ---- Racism from below ----
Racism is raging in Germany: Hardly more a week in the not burn a planned or already
partially inhabited refugee accommodation. Are Everywhere "No to Home 'initiatives which
are against the accommodation of fugitives, founded. Often behind this squad from NPD,
neo-Nazi parties like micro The third way or the party's rights and activist * inside the
free comradeship scene.

These initiatives, however, it is possible in many places with the organized of them
openly racist demonstrations and vigils far beyond the usual neo-Nazi environment to
mobilize beyond. What social science studies found long ago - a not inconsiderable part of
the German population is divided racist, anti-Semitic, and social-chauvinist antiziganist
settings - but not previously exhibited in election results or fascist right-wing populist
parties, manifests itself now on the road. Among the sea of flags of Germany PEGIDA and
its offshoots, the updated version of the authoritarian personality gathered - the
so-called "concerned citizens" or "asylum Critics" - a conformist revolt against the
supposed threat of "un-German". These "concerned citizens" come from the so-called
mainstream of society and lagging somewhat sympathize with the right-wing populist
alternative for Deuschland (AFD) than with open radical right-wing parties and groups.

Encouraged by this right mass movement on the streets below militant fascist * inside more
often to act. A major recipient of attacks are Escaped, Muslim * inside, Roma and Jew *
interior, but also the homeless, long-term unemployed, LTGBIQ * -people and left come
increasingly targeted. In addition to demonstrations, vigils, visiting citizens * indoor
gatherings a "mass militancy" of law, which in almost weekly arson attacks on refugee
shelters, the intimidation of political opponents * inside and riots manifested by pogroms
(Freital, Heidenau) developed.

This development is also far from being a pure east phenomenon: In Baden-Württemberg there
are PEGIDA offshoot in Karlsruhe (most recently resistance Karlsruhe) and
Villingen-Schwenningen. NPD, the rights, The Third Way and the Identitarian movement
trying - to launch local "No to Home" campaigns - albeit so far without much success. This
year there have been numerous attacks on refugee homes and attacks on Escaped u. A. in
Waiblingen, Linkenheim-Hochstetten, Rheinstetten, Malterdingen, Aspach, Dettingen unter
Teck, Reutlingen, Sindelfingen, Sontheim, Bad Krozingen, Wendlingen am Neckar ,
Limburgerhof, Engen, Calw, Oppenheim, Remchingen, Radolfzell, Ellwangen, Balingen,
Weissach im Tal, Rottenburg am Neckar, Riedlingen and Wertheim. In addition, the NPD was
trying to open its new office in Baden-Wuerttemberg in the Swabian Alb in the immediate
vicinity of Landeserstaufnahmestelle for Refugees in Meßstetten. Her national convention
to be held in northern Baden Weinheim. For AFD chances in the regional elections next year
to get over the 5% threshold not too bad.

Racism from above

However, the racist * in on the street radicalize it only what is already practiced
anyway. The sort of people based on their origins

racism is an ideology - a false worldview - in which people on the basis of external or
cultural characteristics of the racist * inside a particular Group assigned to them
unchangeable and then certain, mostly negative characteristics about awarded. This
discrimination and most economic domination and exploitation are justified. The long
dominant form of "classical", biologistic argumentative racism transformed increasingly
into a culturalist argumentative racism. Meanwhile referenced rather less on 'race' or
genes, but more on the alleged "culture" of a human being in order to classify it either
as a social "enrichment" or as "disruptive".

In the current refugee debate here a distinction of fugitives is carried out in two
groups: To stand on one side "useful" Immigrant * inside, well trained, the German economy
serve, as well as "war refugees". Who does not fall in these categories, which is defamed
as "economic refugees" or "sham asylum seeker" who would the asylum system "abuse" and to
be deported as soon as possible. The German deportation, which is supported by the Greens,
the SPD and the CDU, works by precisely this inhuman proviso.
But this distinction between legitimate and nichtlegitimen flight reasons is racist. It
serves to justify the discrimination and deportation of most of the fugitives. In
Baden-Württemberg the roomy Roma from the Balkans, which escape from discrimination and
poverty.

The pressure on the street also shows already at the state level action: The law "for the
redefinition of the right to stay and the termination of residence" was recently the next
tightening of asylum law with votes from the SPD and the CDU decided. Apart from a few
concessions for people with residence status at the same detention, entry and residence
bans and expulsions to current official practice will be.

The green-red state government in Baden-Württemberg exceeds meanwhile their black and
yellow previous government in terms of state racism to lengths not only was it this year
no Winterabschiebestopp - which meant that many refugees with no possessions were deported
in mid-winter in homelessness - or that Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Green Party)
explained to safe countries of origin through his voice in the Bundesrat Serbia, Macedonia
and Bosnia - which means that asylum applications of Escaped from these countries are
"obviously" groundless rejected as though the rampant there Antiziganism many Roma living
there impossible proven to live in dignity. No, even with the number of deportations to be
padded in Baden-Württemberg and not spilled: In the first half of this year, 1080 people
have been deported against their will from Baden-Württemberg, Bayern only pushes more from.

Racism against Roma

In the campaign against Escaped from the Balkans old resentments are served. It is spoken
of "bogus asylum seekers", which would come to Germany to here to receive benefits and
could lead a good life in their countries of origin after their "voluntarily".
Although the makers * inside priority Order here for economic usefulness (unskilled
workers * inside are currently not used in Germany), in such statements seem old
antiziganist resentment in updated form: The fugitives from the Balkan countries are as
nomadic (oscillating between country of origin and Germany), lazy (not willing to wage
labor), criminal (obtain the grant asylum services) and assozial (take the "real" refugees
places away) shown. These are allegations that repeatedly Gypsies were made historically
and - what a surprise - most fugitives from the Balkan countries are Roma. In response to
the increase in refugee numbers are work and training bans, property rather than cash
benefits, and a concentration of Balkan refugees in so-called "reception centers" - ie
special camps - discussed.

Munter will continue to be written on a centuries-old history of persecution and
discrimination: Gypsies occurred in Central Europe at the beginning of the 15th century
for the first time in appearance.. Were they greeted first as wandering pilgrims * inside,
the assessment however changed quickly. The decision of the Reichstag to Freiburg in 1498
they were officially expelled from the German territories and explained for the first time
for "outlaws". The central element of antiziganism here is the pursuit of the "Gypsies"
because they are - allegedly - did not want the compulsion to wage labor, and the
resulting vagrancy bend, or could. Then in the 18th century there was a biologistic
racialization of the "gypsies". Galten previously taken part as a kind beggar * inside and
Vagant * inside, were therefore linked to a particular social situation, they were now
considered to be members of a "Gypsy race". It was followed by the police detection and
combat. So since the mid 19th century systematic records were created and Gypsies were the
target of various reeducation attempts. 1926, entered into Bavaria, the "Act to combat
Gypsies, vagabonds and work-shy" in force, which allowed every "gypsies" who pursued any
regular work, in a so-called "workhouse" ward. In Nazism Sinti and Roma were affected by
the Nuremberg Race Laws. From 1936 it began to intern them in so-called "Gypsy camp". 1938
was ordered by Himmler, the "final solution of the Gypsy question through the nature of
that race". The Porajmos, ie the systematic genocide to murder, the aim as "Gypsies" the
appointed people, began in 1939. The Germans murdered and 1945 hundreds of thousands of
Roma and Sinti.

In 1953 the state police in Bavaria with old Nazi staff again a "Landfahrer center" built.
The addition of "ZN" for "Gypsy" has been used in forensics to 1984th Most of the
survivors of Porajmos were compensated inadequately or not until today. The discrimination
and exclusion continues to this day. The most common prejudices in the majority population
are still that Roma beg, steal and would live in caravans. But even more romantic elements
are included in the Roma stereotype about that would be "gypsies" for unbridled freedom,
for music and for erotic dance. (Exoticism)

Crisis and racism

In times of crisis of the capital today, everyone is potentially at risk of economic and
social decline. This has two individual psychology to comprehend consequences:
On one side threatens the bourgeois-capitalist society always latently own About
liquefaction, so the loss of the possibility of its own reproduction in the form of the
sale of their own labor by unemployment (whether by illness, age or the next economic
crisis). This creates existential fears, which have the effect that in the people the
desire is awakened to look in the seemingly safe and natural community of the nation and /
or the people protection and solidarity.

This community of the nation and the people allows individuals to satisfy their need for
capacity against social conditions, which makes you feel helpless. Here the gap between
ideal ego (the action-enabled autonomous bourgeois subject) and reality (the powerlessness
against economic processes which are taking place behind the backs of the actors) can be
closed. One thus missing a narcissistic insult, ie questioning of the own self-esteem.

Social contradictions are the racist and anti-Gypsy world picture now in the form of
simple in-out contradictions (eg German - "Gypsy") transformed. So phenomena,
contradictions and problems which are out of themselves (re) produced (eg urbanization,
individuation, exploitation, monopoly practices, impoverishment, mass unemployment) the
bourgeois-capitalist society the "others" attributed. As a solution to the problem is now
the expulsion / prosecution of the "others", ie in Antiziganism of "Gypsy" appears. The
"Gypsy" or fugitives be the scapegoat for everything negative.

Reasons for flight

Antiziganism is widespread mainly in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. The majority of Roma
has no fixed accommodation, no proper housing. They organize their survival in irregular
settlements, slums, often without water, sewage and electricity. Life expectancy is
against the social average correspondingly low, infant mortality is higher by a multiple.
A regular income is almost never available. In many households there is hardly anything to
eat for days. Core rights such as the right to housing, food, work, education, etc. are
not guaranteed. The Roma suffer prejudice, systematic discrimination, marginalization,
exclusion and violent attacks. Many are subject to permanent expulsion pressure. Police
evictions of Roma settlements are commonplace. These are the reasons why many come here in
the hope of a better life in Germany.

Revolutionary Perspective

Racism has many faces: discriminatory slogans and gestures, police checks based on skin
color, nocturnal deportation, arson attacks and pogroms, discriminatory laws, the
classification of people according to their economic usefulness. They are fighting all!
But besides these everyday anti-racist and anti-fascist defensive battles we have to open
up its own social revolutionary perspective: anti-fascism and anti-racism must be more
than the defense of the bourgeois-capitalist society. If we want to fight fascism and
racism sustainably, we must also attack their formation conditions and the capitalist
socialization, because the best practice to the national community, nationalism and racism
is still the class struggle, understood as self-intervention by the wage-earning class,
with the aim of its own abolition!

As anarchists, we reject this bourgeois-capitalist form of society that divides people
into useful and useless. We oppose this order, which only aims to generate profits and
where only the capital can move freely and limitless. Poverty, hardship and escape before
it are not natural disasters, but results of the capitalist system! A system that people
become homeless next to empty houses or other starves alongside tons of discarded food. A
system that is not designed to satisfy the needs of people, but everything, whether human
or natural, exclusively subjecting his murderous logic of exploitation.
We stand for a society without exploitation and oppression, a society without states,
nations, borders and fences, a company in which you want no man through another man
prevail. We want the liberal communism, ie a society based on the principles of individual
and collective freedom, social self-government and the collective satisfaction of needs.
We therefore call for participation in the Antiracist Action Day's on 30 and 31 October
2015 Karlsruhe on. We make a stand against racism in the state and society, and we are
promoting the perspective of a society free of domination!
Against any racism! For the libertarian communism! For anarchy!

Germany, fau.org - Solidarity Statement – Ankara attack

Germany, fau.org - Solidarity Statement – Ankara attack
(de, tr) (a-infos-en@ainfos.ca)

A peace demonstration under the motto "Work, Peace and Democracy" organized by unions on
10 October 2015 in Ankara, Turkey, was attacked killing at least 128 people and injuring
over 200, many seriously. The union federation FAU (Free Workers' Union) is appalled by
this cowardly attack on the labor and peace movement. ---- The demonstration was in
reaction to the impending civil war and the increased repression against the left and
Kurdish opposition by the Erdoğan-AKP regime. It was organized by the independent unions
and trade associations DİSK (Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey), KESK
(Confederation of Public Employees' Trade Unions), TMMOB (Union of Chambers of Turkish
Engineers and Architects) and TTB (Turkish Medical Association). The left, democratic and
Kurdish opposition also called for participation in the demonstration.

This murderous attack fits in with the pattern of the attacks in Diyarbakir/Amed and
Suruç/Pirsus as well as those against the left social-democratic HDP (People's Democratic
Party) and Kurdish people in northern Kurdistan and eastern Turkey. For years, Turkey has
been governed in an authoritarian manner by the religious-nationalist AKP.

As a reaction, the DİSK, KESK, TMMOB and TTB have called for a general strike on 12 and 13
October.

The FAU, as an internationalist, anarcho-syndicalist union, stands by the workers in
Turkey in this difficult hour and declare our solidarity.
We also speak out our condolences to the victims and their families.
The FAU calls upon its members and friends to show their solidarity.

Germany, Media - What's up with the left union Free Workers' [FAU-IAA] Union about? INTERVIEW: DANIEL HERBSTREIT (de)

(en) Germany, Media - What's up with the left union Free
Workers' [FAU-IAA] Union about? INTERVIEW: DANIEL HERBSTREIT (de)
[machine translation]

"Just let the bulbs disappear" ---- Officials there are not with them and sabotage in the
labor dispute can be found okay. ---- ZEIT ONLINE: Mr. Kuhnt, woman Ergazina you describe
themselves as anarcho-syndicalists and engage in outdoor workers 'and Workers' Union (FAU)
, a left union. What are the goals this union? ---- Stefan Kuhnt: We are committed to the
Berlin syndicate and make grassroots trade union work on libertarian basis. For us, the
members decide what they committed to, not any officials. And we combine with an
anti-capitalist perspective. ---- ZEIT ONLINE: What does that mean? ---- Kuhnt: In the
short term we want to be like all the unions for higher wages and better working
conditions. In the medium term we want to make the concept of a union militant base
acceptable again, that's self-evident in countries such as France, Italy and Spain. And in
the long term, our goal is to abolish capitalism and replace it with a caring, liberal,
grassroots social order. But for our daily work the first does not matter much.

ZEIT ONLINE: What makes your base union of conventional unions such as IG Metall or ver.di?

Tinet Ergazina: We do not see ourselves as a service provider. Our users determine what
they want and how to achieve that.

Kuhnt: Big unions often how companies think that because they have to maintain a large
apparatus. Often it is worth it for the just not to get involved in smaller labor disputes.

ZEIT ONLINE: The FAU Berlin has been involved in the dispute over the construction of the
Mall of Berlin, were cheated as Romanian workers out of their wages.

Kuhnt: This is a typical example of our work. The workers had initially contacted the
Berlin consulting office for posted workers of the DGB. But more than a few letters to the
responsible company is not came out of it. That should not be a reproach to the consulting
firm, which makes respectable job, but it is just a consulting office with four employees
and not designed to run large trade union action - certainly not for workers, of which the
DGB will never see money.

The construction workers are then come to us. We made actions. The subject came up in the
media, the Left Party has taken it and carried up to the Bundestag. And the FAU has
submitted jointly with the construction workers brought against the companies responsible.
In the media reports but emerged primarily on the DGB.

STEFAN KUHNT AND TINET ERGAZINA
Stefan Kuhnt, 26, is studying sports science at the Humboldt University Berlin. Tinet
Ergazina, 34, works as a freelance graphic designer. Both are active members in the
outdoor workers Union in Berlin.
ZEIT ONLINE: Do you mind that?

Kuhnt: Yes and no. Of course it's stupid, but it is also nothing, which is why I could not
sleep at night.

ZEIT ONLINE: The DGB accuses you of not being a real union. Do you lack the collective
capacity?

Kuhnt: That's not true. Unlike sector unions we close as General Syndicate from any sector
contracts, but only house collective agreements.

ZEIT ONLINE: In the tradition of anarcho-syndicalism sabotage is a legitimate tool in the
labor dispute. If you also?

Ergazina: Sabotage may already be a small action, for example by allowing the bulbs
disappear in a labor dispute in a restaurant kitchen, so that no food can be prepared.

ZEIT ONLINE: How closely the FAU is part of leftist structures and networks?

Kuhnt: The FAU Berlin attaches great importance to their independence, so we have no real
involvement in left alliances or any scene left politics.

ZEIT ONLINE: 2011 plunged the FAU on a report of the secret service. As it is, the
commitment to workers' interests had ostensibly and purely ideologically motivated.

Kuhnt: That's bullshit and it is also quite arrogant. But honestly, the protection of the
constitution is a particularly reliable and trustworthy institution?

ZEIT ONLINE: Are the fear of contact with anarcho-syndicalist unions in Germany
particularly large?

Kuhnt: In France there are, for example, a more liberal labor and the right to strike,
although this will change slowly. As already can strike two people. There is also a wider
trade union landscape and culture. This is also in Spain and especially in Italy so, where
for a long time very different types of anti-capitalist trade unions exist.

ZEIT ONLINE: Since the financial and economic crisis critique of capitalism is popular
again. But anarcho-syndicalist positions hardly penetrate before the public. Why is that?

Ergazina: Maybe the fact that we operate more union work and less idea policy.

Kuhnt: I think a union critique of capitalism is more consistent than a purely political,
as it puts where capitalism is taking place, namely in their daily work.

Germany, Report from FdA meeting in Ludwigsburg 2015 by LB Quadrat (de)

Germany, Report from FdA meeting in Ludwigsburg 2015 by LB
Quadrat (de) [machine translation]

End of January was held in Democratic Centre (Demoz) Ludwigsburg held the first of usually
three FdA meetings per year. For the second time (after 2012) the meeting of Libertarian
Alliance Ludwigsburg (hereinafter (LB) ² abbreviated) was aligned. Since the previous
meeting held in Berlin in September 2014 again a place could be obtained in a different
geographic region Ludwigsburg. This plays a role, especially for inviting guests groups.
Accordingly, especially (but not only) groups from the southern German-speaking countries
for meetings that are not members of the FdA came. In addition to assets of the
Libertarian Action Winterthur and the Anarchist Initiative Ortenau who were present as
guests in previous FdA meeting, we were able to welcome new guests as representatives *
inside of Anarchist group Dortmund, Munich and the libertarians Antifa Looking Nuremberg.
Especially the latter two groups were received with great joy and excitement, there was
but so far little exchange with organized groupings of Bavaria on FdA level.

A total of 35 people attended from 15 different groups at the meeting. A large part of it
was already Friday evening in Demoz Ludwigsburg. Since the first plenary phase was
scheduled until Saturday morning, stayed on Friday night enough time to arrive at rest to
know each other or to build on past encounters. Two of info tables (LB) ² and the Infoshop
Karlsruhe supplied with all interested worth reading literature, banners, badges, stickers
and buttons. On the way from Berlin a (perceived) truck loads of brochures has been
brought, "change everything" including the current CrimethInc call and the freshly printed
edition of the brochure "Anarchism - An Introduction" of the Anarchist Network West *. So
a lively exchange of materials between the cities took place.

Also on interest was in the Demoz just to be seen exhibition "bread and salt" by Peter
Schmidt. A two-meter high installation consisting of a modeled packet of salt and a loaf
of bread on a wooden table that maps the traditional gesture of welcome. In the back of
the salt pack multiple installations in model scale 1:87 as drawers are mounted one above
the other. On display are scenes of assistance to refugees (eg the Refugee Camp on the
Oranienplatz), but also their refusal to deal with them and the conflicts over them and
with them. The tension of the so-called culture of welcome and xenophobia in Germany is
the theme of the exhibition. All scenes are shown as large photographs in Demoz-tavern
area again. Very clearly got the visitors * inside as a glimpse of the cultural diversity
of the Demoz. The events and activities Demoz range from lectures, film screenings,
practical workshops on exhibitions, Voküs, concerts and (women) Discos to martial arts
training or drawing classes. As a self-managed, non-profit center is the Demoz on a
"culture from below", which occupies an offset to discriminatory societal developments.
The center has been in existence since 1980. Decisive in the establishment and development
of the center involved were the social movements of the 70 / 80s, especially the local
anti-nuclear movement.

Although the social conversations moved into the night on Friday night for a long time
(and also the arrival of some people - the last arrived at half past three clock at
night), the first plenary meeting started on time the next morning. After the official
welcome and introduction of all participants all new and interested persons were in a
separate room, the FdA, presented their structures and ways of working and, for questions.

When everyone had again gathered in large plenum (the rest had meanwhile Organizational
discussed) saw the agenda before a first AG-phase. Among other things, should take place
in a corporation, an exchange of groups about the plans of the May 1 activities. People
from the Ruhr announced that this year an anarchist May 1st demonstration in Dortmund is
planned, which met with a positive response. Discussed were forms of support by the FdA or
federated groups outside of the Ruhr. The question of a central mobilization on 1 May to
Dortmund has been controversial. Finally had some groups, which are involved in their own
May 1st alliances, participation locally priority. Groups which are not involved in local
1st of May alliances are expected to mobilize on the 1st of May Anarchist demonstration to
Dortmund.

A person from the Anarchist Radio Berlin presented the project "Radio Active" before - an
interactive project which is already implemented by anarchist radio groups in Brazil. It
is a streamed live radio broadcast. A specially equipped online chat gives the listener
inside * the possibility to get during the radio show to give feedback or to incorporate
your own ideas and content, and thus shape the radio show. Once this concept was presented
was a productive discussion took place about potential implementation shapes, borders and
barriers and support opportunities of the project by other FdA groups. Whether and how the
project (as a test) is implemented, is still open - you may be curious.

Emma Goldman's autobiography "Lived Life" (original title "Living my life", appeared in
1931), there is the German translation since the late 1970s. Into Russian (birth language
Emma Goldman), the book was not yet been translated for different reasons. A Russian
translation collective (RTP) finds her book still so worth reading, current and important
that they want to translate it into Russian. As a first attempt did not work on financing
Crowdfunding in Russia, the request was approached for support funding to a person in the
FdA. Here it is important to know that the translation collective works as an economic
connection with wages. An estimate assumes that the translation of nearly 1000 pages are
needed about 8000 EUR (in the original). As a financing option to print postcards with
quotes from Emma Goldman and sold. For more assistance options through the FdA were
collected in the plenary. A donation account is set up, it will be held by different
groups FdA events.

In another AG-phase took place in the afternoon, inter alia, the experience gained through
the development of local federations or local networks instead. First, allowing people the
Anarchist Federation (Rhine-Ruhr AFRR) her concept of an open anarchist organizing the
meeting and before the expiry of development, such as the AFRR arose. In Dortmund 2 open
organizing meetings were organized by the local anarchist group. Here were people who are
not yet active in (anarchist or local) groups the opportunity to come together and active
people from local anarchist / libertarian projects this week and to catch up. The
previously existing projects introduced themselves briefly and in the further course of
the meeting, the fields of interest of interested were collected. Those interested could
so with like-minded people form various thematic working groups and to network with
existing initiatives. So at the 1st open organizing meetings in Dortmund created 9 AGs,
including on the subject Anarcha-feminism, education & youth or a reading circle AG. In
the ensuing discussion, the transferability of this approach to regions with different
conditions was discussed (eg. As rural region rather than large urban agglomeration), but
also aspects such as openness to organs of repression. Thereafter, the start-up process of
the Anarchist Network West * (A network Southwest *) of individuals involved was
presented. In contrast to the AFRR, which has just built a superior communication and
exchange structure to then create the conditions for a local group formation, was this
process at A-Power Southwest vice versa * exactly: it existed anarchist groups in various
cities in the Southwest * before first networking meeting between local groups took place.
The network was formed by a first jointly organized series of events / campaign. After
nearly 5 years of existence, the participants also looked critically at ways developments,
but also problems of regional networking. The entire experience within the AG was
incorporated interested by the participants, especially since there are ideas and plans
for a (formal) networking of local groups in other regions in Germany.

According to the official plenary and the discussion of other issues Saturday evening was
relaxed in a social atmosphere among the people present.

On Sunday there were two large groups: For newspaper Gaidão Federation and international
networking and especially to the International of Anarchist Federations (IFA). In addition
to regularly be discussed topics in the Gaidão-AG such as the distribution of tasks in the
preparation of Gaidão or promotional activities, and possible improvements were discussed.
To leave as there is the idea for the audio version of Gaidão selected texts from real
speaker read * inside (in the current audio version of this is done by a computer voice).
This would increase the quality of the audio version significantly, but is a question of
participation and the available capacity. There will also be a Gaidão stand again at the
Anarchist Book Fair in April in Mannheim. And this year one to two Gaidão special editions
are planned again.

The International AG discussed, among other topics for the coming meeting of delegates of
the IFA (see the review of CRIFA in Paris in this issue). Was also discussed the anarchist
Mediterranean Meeting, to be held in October in Athens. In preparation for this, there
will be a planning meeting in Tunisia in March. For this purpose, the FdA will provide
financial support.

After a detailed feedback of the participants to the meeting at least the official part of
the meeting was coming to an end. The conclusion is that in both the high number of
participants * inside as well as the number of groups represented / cities show (including
5 guests groups) that there is a great interest in exchange and networking in general and
on the FdA in particular. So could develop personal contacts in the three days of the
meeting. But it is also practical cooperation on different projects have been planned,
which will support stay in exchange for the future. Overall, the FdA meetings included in
Ludwigsburg an exciting and successful mix of information and experience, based on
practical, planning and space for informal interaction.

Germany, Europe, the maze of inclusion‏

Hi everybody,
here another contribution concerning the link between "residence permit" and welfare for Eu migrants in Germany.

Germany, Europe, the maze of inclusion

The German welfare system is as segmented as is the German labor market. There is an unemployment-insurance for long-term workers and a welfare system for temporary and precarious workers. To receive welfare one has submit to the regime of the Jobcenterand to apply for any work or participate in any training proposed by the Jobcenter. Noncompliance is fined with cuts of 30% of welfare benefits. […] In December 2014 Germany’s law of residence for Europeans was changed. From now on European migrants who are looking for a job in Germany are legally entitled only to stay for 6 months if they do not have money to support themselves. Afterwards they have to give proof to the alien’s department that they have a«genuine prospect of getting employed». What kind of proofs will be accepted apart from a work contract is not clear…read more.

(en) FdA, Germany, Anarchist Network West - Who we are? (de)

[machine translation]

The Anarchist Network West * is a union of libertarian or anarchist groups and individuals
from the "south" Part of the German-speaking countries, so the Saarland,
Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-W?rttemberg, but also from eastern France and northern
Switzerland. ---- The Anarchist Network West * Groups are organized in the following
cities and regions: ---- Freiburg // Heidelberg // Kaiserslautern/Kusel // Karlsruhe //
Ludwigsburg // Mannheim // Ortenau // Pforzheim // T?bingen ---- The groups involved in
this network are united in the goal of building a caring, respectful, non-violent and
non-hierarchical, ie an emancipatory society. ---- Such a project is in the prevailing
conditions not readily possible: In capitalism, the needs of all people, but only an
aligned for profit maximization recycling of all areas of life in the foreground.

To get closer to a liberated society, we must also everyday power relations and mechanisms
such as racism, sexism and anti-Semitism and the links between the state, nation and
capital reflecting, analyze, critique, and ultimately overcome as a whole. We do not stop
with the demand for less work, unrestricted right to stay, cheap housing or free education
available, but challenge the social wealth for all.

What do we do?

The network provides the basis for networking, sharing, discussion, reflection, getting
together with other anarchists and the planning of joint actions, such as event (sreih) s,
demonstrations and mobilizations. By mutual exchange of experiences we can deepen our
theory and expand the practice. The cross-linked in this network groups remain autonomous.
The network related decisions are taken at monthly meeting of delegates and in
consultation with the underlying groups.

Why a Network?

We have deliberately opted for a network with an open character to allow other groups and
individuals easier participation. In recent years, the number of anarchist and libertarian
groups is just * has steadily increased in the southwest, networking, there were only
sporadically. To motivate to existing or future structures, the development and expansion
to accompany this solidarity and to send groups in "structural weaknesses" Regions
organizational support, we have the Anarchist Network West * founded.

Since November 2012, the Anarchist Network West is * now also a member of the Federation
of German anarchists and thus a member of the International of Anarchist Federations .

* We are aware that we are limited by our naming in some way physically and
linguistically, but what a network helps us to work and to remain capable of action. We
strive to networking with networks and groups from other regions.

Hello people,
we remain true to ourselves and bring you a variety of posts around the world: Cuba (with
the first libertarians days under a Castro government!), Japan, Greece and Kurdistan. as
in mentioned earlier editions, we would however like to publish more interesting texts in
German, unfortunately only in English or in Spanish (!) are present. People help us our
meager resources to translation conserve, are more than welcome. Simply get in touch with
the Editors at the e-mail below.

What is not too short in this issue, the discussion of previous posts or replies is also
such. Thus, both the discussion of the "Christian anarchism" continues and the discussion
around trees and other Observations of nature (in the broader context of forest occupation
in Hambach Forest). And it seems like some other discussions to be continued in the next
issue.

In addition to the focus on Greece, we would like to draw your attention to the section
"Analysis and Discussion", where first of all the exciting Leipzig group "Reclaim Utopia
"a critique of the political and in particular its effect power makes formulated in the
capitalist context. More Floor on this issue explicitly wanted to continue the discussion.
Then follows a review the groups against capital and nation in the perceived
"psychologizing of nationalism", more precisely, to the distinction between patriotism and
nationalism.

Enjoy reading and discussing and until the next issue!

Germany, FdA-IFA - Anarchistische Gruppe Neuk?lln - Never mind traditions...here's traditions democultre meeting (de)

Has already twice in Berlin a discussion evening held for demonstration culture. These
were originally organized by the Anarchist group Neuk?lln. Now, a loose association of
interested in the topic has found who would like to continue this type of exchange. ----
We found the last two rounds on the topic very rewarding and really want to keep this
possibility of coexistence-wrangling. The last two events have shown that the interest in
this topic in Berlin is very large. We explain the lack of feedback at 15.3. with a much
too late and short-term application and therefore try next start on Saturday the 5th April
from 18:40 in the Braunschweigerstr. 53/55 . ---- We want to maintain the character of the
open meetings of the last two experiences. This means that we pretend no issues, but may
form small groups locally on your interests. We also want to get the concept of "small
tables" rather than a large round upright. The premises of the Braunschweigerstr. we hold
it for very well suited.

For essentially: Why Bother?

Berlin is strongly influenced by a mentality to avoid solid, open occurring structures and
to connect temporarily and based on a sense of belonging. This we do not want to evaluate
at this point or criticize. That is on the other side but also that we need to create
places where we come in contact with each of our own circle out to discuss specific
issues. We keep personal exchanges besides anonymous writings circulating important.

As for the theme demos, there are many points of discussion.

Whether it is to go to reflections on past demonstrations, preparing for upcoming,
discussion of general demo tactics or the search for alternatives to traditional forms of
demonstration: there are certainly enough to say. Even away from the issues discussed.

ps:. again We want to point out that the event is publicly announced. We think it's
important to openly and without too much anxiety to discuss with each other. However, you
are aware that you do not know all the people in the room and will be able to assess.
Think about so before, what should be said on that night, or what you might prefer to want
to discuss in small groups.

Saturday 05 April | 18:40 clock (so that there is still enough time to celebrate) |

Germany, FAU-IAA - Work contract strike at the Meyer Werft Papenburg -- A historic turning point (de)

Experienced the day before International Women's Day 2014, by the public almost unnoticed,
a spontaneous strike of work compatibility learning at the Meyer Werft shipyard in
Papenburg. Only the locally as "Ems-Zeitung" published New Osnabr?ck newspaper (NOZ)
reported in detail about the strike action and the NDR brought a short local report on the
program "Hello Lower Saxony." Here, this strike is in fact a historic event and can also
be a turning point as 1973 represent: The 150 to 200 strikers Werkvertr?gler have
prevailed within two days and one eight-hour marathon negotiations over the working time
dealer "Dirks Group" from Emden, that they - on request - receive German labor contracts
and that they no longer have a working time account balance their overtime, but these get
paid monthly. German labor contracts also mean, for example, health insurance and paid
sick leave. So far, the affected workers were apparently no sick pay and had to go in
advance for doctor visits.

Under the title "A historic turning point" (May / June 2013) was in the direct action 217
on the 40th Anniversary reminiscent of the wave of "wildcat strikes" in Germany in 1973.
In the former wave of strikes, especially the Cologne Ford strike because of its size and
the Neuss Pierburg strike stood out, the latter mainly because he was successful as almost
pure women and migrant strike and then "Light wage group II" wegstreikte. 41 years later
working conditions for migrants are quite gotten better everywhere. While there is no more
light wage groups, but temporary and contract work. Beginning in July 2013 became the
Papenburg shipyard Meyer-Werft in this regard in the headlines: Zusammengepferchte
Romanian and Bulgarian work contract workers experienced a fire in which two workers were
killed. Union, Lower Saxony government and Meyer-Werft responded with a "Social Charter",
which improved the living conditions of Werkvertr?gler well.

It was also noted in this context that the Eastern European workers (workers probably
rarely) drove forbidden double and triple layers in Germany. catch: This overtime was
certainly in the interest of Werkvertr?gler, because the Romanian and Bulgarian workers
motivated mainly interest, their fund families in Eastern Europe. On 6 And 7 However, in
March 2014 dropped them another possibility to do so. experienced the day before
International Women's Day 2014, by the public, almost unnoticed, a spontaneous strike of
work compatibility learning at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg. Only the locally as

German labor contracts also mean, for example, health insurance and paid sick leave. So
far, the affected workers were apparently no sick pay and had to go in advance for doctor
visits. Papenburg 2014, mirroring the success of Pierburg 1973. The NOZ journalist Stefan
Prince commented rightly titled "A Gathering Storm": "For years, were Eastern European
factory contract workers in the industry as well as quiet as undemanding. Even under the
harshest working conditions have never suggested publicly audible protest. If individuals
but rebelled once more, they were the subcontractors often effectively with the immediate
deportation to their home country. The image of the weak factory contract workers is
obsolete since yesterday: With the strike of Romanians and Bulgarians at the Meyer Werft
is something essential has changed. The Eastern Europeans have recognized that they have
power in a foreign country if they join together. They have succeeded with a peaceful,
two-day walkout to enforce claims. It will be interesting to see if this was just the
beginning. Or if possibly follow strikes by further calls for equality. Then, many German
companies have a problem. " Yet here we have a single strike, which is quite an admirable
innovation of its own. With any luck, but Papenburg is also a beacon and could trigger a
wave of strikes that can compete with 1973. This happens but not by itself. Now it is
important to pass on the experience of a victorious workers' struggle from the most
precarious. Let's hope that the example with this.

Protest at Frontex event in Berlin‏

Refugee strikers annoy EU wankers and eat cake

Photos:
https://secure.flickr.com/photos/petshoppetshop/sets/72157641622765635/

The “stakeholder workshop” at the representative office of the European
Union in Berlin on the afternoon of February 27, 2014 invited
politicians and academics to listen to other politicians and academics
(and the boss of Frontex) speak about the “refugee problem.”

This conspiracy provoked many comments about a “final solution” from the
activists who busted into the conference with their banners and filthy
clothes. The urbane moderator was “humane” enough to allow some refugees
to speak about their situation and not call the police, as was his
right, of course.

Inviting a member of the socialist party LINKE, thought the organizer,
would be enough to start a heated debate about the EU’s military border
regime, but he was not prepared to let the subalterns speak for
themselves, although they’ve been yelling their demands from every
street corner in his city for two years.

As the “expert speakers” spewed beer hall truths about “economic
migration,” gangs of “people smugglers,” and the “humanitarian mission”
of military border surveillance, interruptions became louder and
angrier: “Europe and Germany, stop killing refugees.” Yet, Europe’s
elite discusses how to outsource the killing.

During the audience question session, an older woman with an Eastern
European accent from the first row repeated our accusations against the
murderous Germans. She mentioned that her family had been persecuted, by
the Nazis I suppose.

The member of the socialist party defended herself reflexively: “I am
against such nationalist generalizations… My mother is Polish, I am
German; I refuse to be put in a box… I am not a murderer!” “Yes you
are!” “No, I’m not.” “Yes, you are!” The old survivor rebuked the
amnesiac with a shattering verdict.

Even German socialists deny any collective guilt for past crimes. Such a
mindset allows the powerful to repaint the ongoing deportations as
“unfortunate” deviations from the noble goals of the border guards.

The “stakeholders” in the audience expressed even more retarded views
than the speakers: “Of course we accept our humanitarian burden, but how
much can the German people bear?” “They should invest the money they pay
for transit into their countries’ future!” “Shut up, woman!”

It was necessary, fun, but demoralizing to interrupt this session of
critical critique among comrades, this pornographic exposure of white
power. We stated our demands and insulted everyone in the room, from the
dolled up intern girls to the creepy old intellectuals, from the
mumbling Frontex police chief to the legal scholar who saw the
“interesting, but complex case for international relations” in every
capsized raft.

We live in an empire unable to reform its imperial character for fear of
implosion, yet hoping to reform its peculiar institutions. Almost as
silly as progressive religion, a “multicultural” Germany or feminist
men. No hope for Your-ope!

Germany, Frankfurt: Solidarity action for ?Lampedusa in Hamburg?

Solidarity with refugees ---- During the night from Wednesday to Thursday 17.10.2013 we
attacked an office of the SPD (Social Democratic Party of Germany) in the Nordend district
of Frankfrut, and destroyed its windows and doors. ---- Party functionaries like the SPD
mayor Olaf Scholz are responsible for the policy against refugees in Hamburg, a policy
that excludes and criminalizes people because of their background, history or skin colour.
We know that, as far as these matters are concerned, the SPD in Hamburg is no different
than Frankfurt?s SPD. Therefore, this attack does not apply to the SPD in Frankfurt alone;
it is instead directed against the entire party and anyone who supports this policy. ----
Refugees? passage to Europe is the consequence of a capitalist word order, which make it
impossible for a large part of humanity to lead self-determined lives.

A flight to the affluent ghettos of Europe seems to be the last chance to escape from
persecution and threat of economic existence. The political elites respond with
discriminatory laws; the European Union with military foreclosure. In Germany, the
ever-present resentments increasingly express themselves with active opposition to the
refugees.

We stand up against such an exploitative system, against this policy, and against everyday
racism of the societal ?middle,? and instead promote our solidarity with refugees and our
fight against capital, state and nation.

With this action we show solidarity with illegalized humans in Hamburg and everywhere. We
support the claim for a right to stay for all.

We also send solidarity greetings to all activists who, in Hamburg and elsewhere, put up a
fight against this racist policy.

No Border, No Nation!

Yawn ... oh nice, so a holiday in the middle of the week. First turn around, sleep, stay
long in bed and breakfast detail. Oh wait, now I almost forgot that today is the first May
the international day of struggle of the working class. Well then: In out of bed, to
combat and fast-forward internet to check what today is so.

Hmm, 11 clock DGB demo. Since my desire is pretty low, my DGB officials in their garbage
bags with the words "We are worth it" to look at. As quickly as possible and then scurry
to always pay homage to the city with bratwurst and beer itself. When I see these people,
I always have the scene from Ken Loach's film "Bread and Roses" thinking, in which a young
trade union activists a few security types flees through an office, because he has just
stolen a staff internal list from the human resources department. I have to be always the
same scene with a thick German union official introduce: a bratwurst links in hand, right
a plastic cup of beer, he manages panting and sweating not even up to the first pillar.

So what else is there. Oh n??? ... The StalininstInnengesocks calls for revolutionary
demo. With men Macker aggro videos and slogans from the 30s trying young people from the
"problem areas" to mobilize, and this is the last year even with success. The emancipation
have with so much on his hat like a Japanese whaler species.

Maybe I'd rather stay in bed and read the new DA. The focus is on the subject of strike.
So you learn how it looks with the Streikwilligkeit in this country and what's new from
the bargaining unit. In slow motion it is the 40th Anniversary of an article on the
wildcat strikes in 1973 at Ford and Pierburg. In the background there is a critical
examination of the current general strike discussion in the mainstream unions and Global
there are reports of general strikes and repression, including Portugal.

In addition, you learn something about the successful work continued struggle of the FAU
in the organic farm Teltow turnips, discussion of collective farms is and much more. What
the FAU on 1 May makes, you will find the way to www.fau.org
