In solidarity with our comrade and friend  of Arash D.

Arash D. has been imprisoned for over a month – for moving freely and “inciting” others to do the same.

Arash has been central to the refugee protests across Germany which began in 2012. Since the march from Würzburg to Berlin and the hunger strike at the Brandenburg Gate in 2012, we’ve seen him as a committed No Border activist. Now he was in jail because of the hunger strike at Rindermarkt in Munich (2013), where he fought for the right to stay and freedom of movement.

Still, resistance is punished harshly – as in the case of our comrade Arash! The court ordered him to pay a fine, he refused and was imprisoned. Legitimate protest for civil rights must not be criminalized and oppressed!

“Therefore, I am not guilty and have no respect at all for this court decision!” (Arash D., early January 2015)

Through their resistance in refugee lagers and in the streets of Germany Arash and other refugee activists have contributed immensely to denouncing the maltreatments of refugees and to the public awareness in the European and German society of today towards this denial of civil rights to refugees.

The dignity, the honor and the struggle of comrade Arash D in unity with all those in civil disobedience against the EU - German culture of the isolation and exclusion which we are made to suffer in our daily struggle cannot be compromised by the German police racist brutality and imprisonment. Imprisonment cannot weaken the refugee’s self-determination to liberate ourselves from the old Europe colonial apartheid segregation of non-citizens. There is no doubt that Arash will remain  a vibrant reference to refugee struggle in Europe.
 
We call on the refugee community and all those on the side of justice to stand together in honor of those  in civil disobedience - to celebrate the struggle of our resistance and to unmask the ignorance and hypocrisy of the society and the so called democracy in Bayern, Germany and beyond.
 

We show solidarity with our comrades!
We are not intimidated in our struggles against the capitalist border regime!

In Solidarität mit unserem Genossen und Freund Arash D.

Seit fast mehr als einem Monat saß Arash D. im Knast - weil er sich bewegt hat und auch andere dazu bewegt sich zu bewegen. 
Arash ist seit mindestens 2012 wichtiger Aktivist der Geflüchtetenproteste deutschlandweit. Bereits durch den Marsch von Würzburg nach Berlin und spätestens im Anschluss mit dem Hungerstreik am Brandeburger Tor 2012, kennen wir ihn als überzeugten Noborder-Aktivisten.  Er sitzt nun im Knast wegen des Hungerstreiks am Rindermarkt in München (2013)  dessen Forderungen in erster Linie Bleibereicht für alle und Bewegungsfreiheit für alle waren.
Die deutsche Mainstreamöffentlichkeit dürfte mittlerweile durch den Aktivismus von Arash und vielen anderen Geflüchteteaktivist_innen wissen, dass Geflüchtete in Deutschland und Europa  - bzw in vielen Fällen auch im eigenen Land – diese Grund- und Menschenrechte nicht zugesprochen bekommen. 
Widerstand dagegen wird hart bestraft – wie auch im Fall von unserem Genossen Arash! Er wurde dazu aufgefordert eine Geldstrafe zu bezahlen. Ein legitimer Widerstand für Grund- und Menschenrechte, die für alle Staatsbürger_innen hier Normalzustand sind, kann nicht einfach so kriminalisiert und unetdrückt werden! 

“Daher sehe ich mich nicht als Täter und habe nicht den geringsten Respekt für das Gerichtsurteil.” (Zitat Aarash D., Anfang Januar 2015) 

Durch ihren Widerstand in Flüchtlingslagern und in den Straßen Deutschlands haben Arash und andere Flüchtlinge in immenser Weise dazu beigetragen, die Missbräuche gegenüber Flüchtlingen öffentlich anzuklagen und in der europäischen und deutschen Gesellschaft von heute Aufmerksamkeit zu erwecken gegenüber dieser Verweigerung von Bürgerrechten.

Die Würde, die Ehrenhaftigkeit und der Kampf unseres Genossen Arash D in Einheit mit all jenen, die sich im zivilen Ungehorsam befinden, gegen die EU-deutsche Kultur der Isolation und Ausgrenzung, die zu erleiden wir in unserem täglichen Kampf gezwungen sind, kann durch die deutsche Polizeibrutalität und durch Haft nicht kompromittiert werden. Haft kann die Entschlossenheit von uns Flüchtlingen nicht schwächen, uns aus dem alten europäischen kolonialen System der Apartheid und Segregation von Non-Citizens zu befreien. Es besteht kein Zweifel, dass Arash eine lebhafte Referenz des Flüchtlingskampfes in Europa bleiben wird. 

Wir rufen die Flüchtlingscommunity und all diejenigen, die auf der Seite der Gerechtigkeit sind, dazu auf, zusammenzustehen, um die zu ehren, die zivilen Ungehorsam leisten – um den Kampf unseres Widerstands zu feiern und um die Ignoranz und Heuchelei der Gesellschaft und der sogenannten Demokratie und Bayern, Deutschland und darüber hinaus zu demaskieren. 

Wir solidarisieren uns mit unserem Genossen! 
Wir werden uns auch weiterhin nicht einschüchtern lassen, in unserem Kämpfen gegen das kapitalistische Grenzregime!

Es gab Anzeichen dafür, daß eine Räumung der Schule geplant war. Deshalb fanden an allen Absperrpunkten Sitzblockaden statt. Schlussendlich wurde die Sitzblockade dann wohl wegen Schichtwechsel geräumt.

Die Presse wurde von den Oliv-GRÜNEN nicht zu den Bestzer_innen durchgelassen.

In einer Direktübertragung haben die Besetzer_innen der Schule anschließend eine Grußbotschaft geschickt.

Dear all,

We are people from the occupied Gerhard-Hauptmann-Schule in Kreuzberg
who are now at the refugee protest camp for the March for Freedom in
Bruxelles.

We got the information from the Kreuzberg district officials (as is Mr.
Panhoff) to leave the school voluntarily on Monday the latest. So it's
clear that the following days will be the days of eviction. Most
probably on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. We, refugees, don't agree 
with
this decision! We want to keep the school as our self organized home,
whatever it takes! And what does it take?.. It takes solidarity from 
all
of you! We are expecting exceptional police brutality. So we call for
everybody to come to the school on Monday evening and stay for the 
night
because they usually come very early in the morning.

THIS IS AN EMERGENCY CALL TO EVERYBODY SUPPORTING OUR STRUGGLE!

Here in Bruxelles we will show our solidarity with a strong
demonstration to the German embassy on Tuesday and an action in front 
of
the Office of the Representation of Berlin on Monday.

Racist Police Brutality Hinders Democracy in Germany

The VOICE BERLIN and Plataforma Berlin protests the violent treatment of
its activists and the activists of the Caravan for the Rights of Refugees
and Migrants as well as activists from the protest tent.

On Monday the 15th of Oct. 30 activists for the rights of refugees and
migrants were brutally arrested after legitimately protesting against the
Nigerian embassy in Berlin. The Embassy holds an agreement with the German
government, enabling easier and swifter deportations and denying refugees
their rights of asylum. The protest actions at the Nigerian Embassy aimed
particularly at the so-called embassy hearings, where group hearings of
refugees take place forcefully, in order to determine their supposed home
countries so that they can be deported there.

The police used CS gas and did not hesitate to beat, humiliate and harass
the protesters. Several activists were seriously injured and needed
medical treatment afterwards. 15 activists were arrested inside the
embassy. Also activists that were holding a peaceful solidarity
demonstration outside of the embassy had to stand the violence of the
police. Despite attempts to deescalate the situation from the side of the
refugees additional 15 excessively violent arrests were made, with no aim
at settling the situation peacefully from the side of the police.

The police once again showed it's real face, as the defender of
totalitarian regimes rather than what they are constantly claimed to be,
namely the “protector of the people”. During the Refugee Protest March,
which started on the 8th of September in Würzburg and ended in Berlin on
the 6th of October, the police acted in a reserved way and was sympathetic
with the refugees., as long as the press was there The aims of the
protesters were to come to the capital of Germany to confront the
structure of oppression. The right of refugees to live a life in dignity -
without isolation and humiliation, cannot be compromised. Now that the
protest is taking a concrete form and is directed at state institutions
and diplomatic partners, the German state does not shy away from employing
extremely brutal and violent methods to silence the struggle.

Past experience has shown the police’s impunity in Germany. The police
behaved like a lawless squat of hooligans with no inhibitions. Just like
in the protest demonstration on January 7th 2012, on the 7th anniversary
of Oury Jalloh’s death we expect no justice from the German system to
punish the unruly police officers. This will not break our struggle and we
will follow a judicial process against the police as long as it is
possible. We once again state our solidarity with every single refugee and
protester who is willing to take action in order to change this fate.

When injustice becomes law resistance becomes duty.

And we demand for: Freedom! Truth! Justice!

Rassistische Polizeibrutalität behindert Demokratie in Deutschland

The VOICE Berlin und Plataforma Berlin protestieren gegen die brutale
Behandlung ihrer Aktivisten und der Aktivisten der Karawane für die Rechte
der Flüchtlinge und MigrantInnen sowie des Protestcamps.

Am Montag, dem 15. Oktober, wurden 30 Aktivisten für die Rechte von
Flüchtlingen und Migrantinnen auf brutale Weise festgenommen, nachdem sie
legitimerweise gegen die nigerianische Botschaft in Berlin protestiert
hatten. Die Botschaft hat mit der deutschen Regierung ein Abkommen
abgeschlossen, das einfachere und schnellere Abschiebungen ermöglicht und
Flüchtlingen ihr Recht auf Asyl verwehrt. Die Protestaktionen an der
nigerianischen Botschaft richteten sich insbesondere gegen die so
genannten Botschaftsanhörungen, bei denen Gruppenanhörungen von
Flüchtlingen als Zwangsmaßnahme durchgeführt werden, um deren mutmaßliche
Herkunftsländer zu bestimmen, damit sie dorthin abgeschoben werden können.

Die Polizei setzte Tränengas ein und zögerte nicht, die Protestierenden zu
schlagen, zu erniedrigen und zu schikanieren. Mehrere Aktivisten wurden
ernsthaft verletzt und mussten danach medizinisch behandelt werden. 15
AktivistInnen wurden innerhalb des Botschaftsgebäudes festgenommen. Auch
AktivistInnen, die außerhalb des Gebäudes eine friedliche
Solidaritätsdemonstration abhielten, mussten die Gewalt der Polizei
ertragen. Trotz der Versuche von Seiten der Flüchtlinge, die Situation zu
deeskalieren, wurden 15 weitere überzogen gewaltsame Verhaftungen
durchgeführt, wobei es seitens der Polizei nicht das Ziel war, die
Situation auf friedliche Art zu regeln.

Einmal mehr zeigte die Polizei ihr wahres Gesicht, das eher das eines
Verteidiger totalitärer Regimes ist als dessen, was sie immer zu sein
behaupten, eines “Beschützers der Menschen”. Während des
Flüchtlingsprotestmarsches, der am 8. September in Würzburg startete und
am 6. Oktober in Berlin endete, agierte die Polizei zurückhaltend und gab
sich den Flüchtlingen gegenüber wohlwollend, solange Presse anwesend war.
Das Ziel der protestierenden Flüchtlinge war es, in Deutschlands
Hauptstadt zu kommen und den Strukturen der Unterdrückung
entgegenzutreten. Hinsichtlich des Rechts der Flüchtlinge, ein Leben in
Würde zu leben – ohne Isolation und Erniedrigung – können keine
Kompromisse gemacht werden. Nun, da der Protest eine konkrete Form annimmt
und sich gegen staatliche Institutionen und ihre diplomatischen Partner
wendet, scheut sich der deutsche Staat nicht mehr, extrem brutale und
gewaltsame Methoden anzuwenden, um den Kampf zum Stillstand zu bringen.

Die Erfahrungen der Vergangenheit haben gezeigt, dass die Polizei in
Deutschland Straflosigkeit genießt. Die Polizei führte sich auf wie eine
Menge Hooligans ohne Hemmungen. Ebenso wie bei der Protestdemonstration am
7. Januar 2012, am siebten Jahrestag des Todes von Oury Jalloh, erwarten
wir keine Gerechtigkeit vom deutschen System, die die aufrührerischen
Polizeibeamten einer Strafe zuführen würde. Doch dies wird unseren Kampf
nicht brechen und wir werden ein juristisches Verfahren gegen die Polizei
durchführen, solange es möglich ist. Einmal mehr bekräftigen wir unsere
Solidarität mit jedem einzelnen Flüchtling und Protestierenden, der
willens ist zu handeln, um dieses Schicksal zu ändern.

Wenn Unrecht zu Recht wird, wird Widerstand zur Pflicht.

Und wir fordern: Freiheit! Wahrheit!Gerechtigkeit!

Refugee Protest March from Wuerzburg to Berlin, Germany starts at the 8th of September - Support needed!‏

The human being’s mission to achieve freedom is not to stand in line but to disrupt the queue
The striking asylum seekers all over Germany who have initiated a strong and coordinated joint protest,
have decided to launch a new action on 8th September: on this day asylum seekers will move towards
Berlin on 2 different routes and after gathering in this city they will show to the German government that
any action towards implementation of the inhumane deportation law will be responded back by the
asylum seeker’s movement and will not remain unopposed. They will shout louder than ever that they
will continue their struggle until the asylum seekers’ camps with their catastrophic conditions are
abolished. In fact by gathering in Berlin, the asylum seekers will actively disobey the discriminatory law
of limited travelling range, which forces the asylum seekers to remain within a certain area. This well
coordinated action, which is solely organized by the asylum seekers themselves and is independent of
any political party or group, will be a way to strongly voice the opposition against the ‘limited travelling
range’ law.
In Berlin we will stand hand in hand and in solidarity and we will once more announce our legitimate
demands;
- we demand the abolishment of all the asylum seekers’ camps in Germany
- deportation is an inhumane law, a law that solely serves the political and economic interests of
those who are in power, this law must be abolished
- we demand that the law of the limited free travelling of the asylum seekers is abolished
Support is needed for accomodation, food, legal support, money etc. for the foot march and the bustour!
