Text written collectively among individuals, organizations, social movements and autonomous spaces for flyers to be distributed in Belo Horizonte: ---- Last week the State of Israel began over a military offensive against the Palestinian people, yet leaving 200 dead and over 1,500 injured. The conflict is established in Gaza and elsewhere where it distributes the Palestinian people for over 50 years, it is not a war. Israel is a state and has one of the most powerful armies. The military and political superiority of Israel is unquestionable and is reflected in the number of victims. The Palestinian people are deprived of their land and their rights since the beginning of the Israeli expansionist and murderous offensive. This is a massacre, a genocide. The State of Israel is abusing a disproportionate political power, and military, to decimate the Palestinian population to support large heads of the world economy as the United States, England and Germany, waging an imperialist campaign in the Middle East, increasing further territorial hegemony and Israeli politics and thus preventing the self-determination of the Palestinians. The Brazilian government, which last year arrested dozens of protesters, still using Israeli weapons to repress and murder the poor, blacks and workers in the slums. Their trade agreements with the state of Israel and its silence on the current conflict clearly show which side it is. Everyone has the right to life and liberty. The hunting and extermination of Palestinians waged by Israel is inhumane and disproportionate and follows superior to religious and cultural interests, with a genocide of economic and political interests. We fight for the immediate cessation of Israeli attacks, putting us in full solidarity with the Palestinians, that this historical conflict suffered a massacre and were severely oppressed. This genocide must stop! So we asked: 1) The final order of the genocide of the State of Israel on the Palestinian people; 2) The position of the Brazilian government and the immediate diplomatic and commercial relations with the State of Israel breakup. Concentration at 17h at the corner of Avenida Brazil with Avenida Francisco Sales, Santa Iphigenia, for making posters, banners and blouses! Lightweight materials that can be used in the act, such as images, photographs, cartoons, posters, banners, shirts, paints. Take also a candle with one of the colors of the Palestinian flag: green, red, white or black! For peace among peoples and for a Free Palestine!

Stop G4S Convergence – Call for action!
*Activists from various anti-G4S campaigns are coming together for a
UK-wide gathering on Saturday 6**th** October at The
Workstation<http://www.showroomworkstation.org.uk/location/>,
Sheffield. Individuals and campaign groups are invited to attend to share,
network, strategise and plan how to build an even more effective Stop G4S
campaign. The gathering is open to all who oppose G4S and want to work with
others to Stop G4S from taking over public services for private profit
while violating human rights.

Despite its track record of complicity in human rights abuses in the UK and
abroad, G4S is being handed control of public services – everything from
policing to “asylum markets” to the welfare system. Even after the Olympics
débâcle, G4S looks set to take over even more control of our communities.
Campaigns have begun to highlight the appalling record of G4S and to work
to prevent it from putting profit before human rights and dignity. From
local campaigns to pressure G4S as it cuts corners, to demonstrations
targeting the company’s AGM and headquarters, we’re beginning to damage the
G4S brand.
The gathering will launch the UK ‘StopG4S’ campaign coalition, bringing
together grassroots campaigns, networks and organisations with the aim of
providing support, resources, guidance and skill-sharing. This coalition
will be inclusive and non-hierarchical.

During armed conflict, rape becomes a strategic weapon to destroy people, communities, and entire nations. While collective efforts have bought this issue to the fore, it’s time to unite and stop rape in war.
The International Campaign to Stop Rape & Gender Violence in Conflict has brought together the world’s female Nobel Peace Laureates, international advocacy organizations, including Human Rights Watch, groups working at a community level, and individuals like you – all in a coordinated effort for change.
Together, we will demand bold political leadership to prevent rape in conflict, to protect civilians and rape survivors, and call for justice – including prosecution of those responsible.
